Is the WFC any good. They are having a fight here at one of the local casinos, and I got offer for ring side seat. Never seen an MMA event live, but it sounds like it could be fun, especially if I an bet on it.

Im sure it would be fun, but dont expect a high level of competition overall. Wfc is like single a baseball. Everyone starts out there, but almost all never make it to the majors. Id go, id def go for free

I'm not overly familiar with WFC, but checking their website, if you're talking one of the February shows at the Eastside Cannery or Atlantis, it appears the fights will be either Muay Thai fights (with no wrestling) or BJJ fights (with no striking). There may be some MMA fights (all disciplines) but I can't find the card lineup.

Either way, cage side seats would be a fun night out. Muay Thai can be vicious fights and you won't see any lay and pray going on. I'd say check it out and enjoy and fun night out regardless.

The local shows are more fun and exciting than bigger events, UFC. That's the major promoting problem is getting the average Joe there because they think it is a bunch of scrubs with zero talent. It is NOT, GO, Enjoy...

I haven't looked at WFC, but am working a local show here Sat night that is all Thai rules and Int'l rules kickboxing, and highly looking forward to it...

Definitely go. In person, I actually prefer the smaller events. One - you never know what to expect, especially when it is no names fighting. There are some talented and entertaining not big name fighters out there. And two - you usually have a better view of the action. Good seats at a UFC event are pricey and sometimes its still difficult to see.
