Day 6 of the Australian Open
Tennis Majors is investing the daily full capital on the following event, that in our opinion is absolutely the best bet of the Day 6 of the Australian Open and a clear mistake by the bookies.

Grigor Dimitrov to beat Richard Gasquet

Date: 21 January 2017
Time: 11.00am Local Time (01.00am CET)
Tournament: Australian Open (Men's)
Round: 3rd

Event: Grigor Dimitrov vs Richard Gasquet

PICK: Grigor Dimitrov TO WIN
Odds: 1.70
Strength: Full Confidence

Grigor Dimitrov is an extremely talented Bulgarian 25 years old player.
The Bulgarian in his early seasons has been often compared to Roger Federer for his incredible talent and very similar one-hand backhand.
He is a very all around player, extremely complete on his game, he has a good service, good forehand, very wonderful backhand and can play from the baseline and go to the net as well, having a great physical shape.
Dimitrov faced a couple of poor seasons during last couple of years, but this season he started extremely strong, winning Brisbane beating such players as Raonic and Nishikori, playing brilliant, almost unbreakable and showing to get back to the right confidence to fully play his tennis.
On the previous two rounds he lost only one set with a slow start against Chung, but he won easily the other ones.

Richard Gasquet is a 30 years old French player.
Richard has been around the tour with a lot of up and down for about 13 years. He is a very talented player, similar to Dimitrov but with less physical power, amazing one-hand backhand and great technique.
Gasquet has never been a solid player, being mentally not so strong and losing the confidence too often to play at the best level.
He only played the Hopman Cup this year and on the first two rounds he won both in straight sets but against two modest players as Mott and Berlocq.

KeysSimilar Game but...:
Dimitrov and Gasquet have a similar game, but Dimitrov looks in a very better shape, he is more solid on the baseline and on a long game he looks more ready for it right now.

Hard Court, but not as Fast/Adjustments to the Surface:
This will be another huge key in our opinion for Dimitrov, because the Bulgarian regarding Gasquet is a player that can play better and more solid from the baseline, instead Gasquet needs to get a lot of points from the service and go to the net as often as possible to not to get involved on long rallys that will end up paying off for Dimitrov to the distance and the surface being not as fast helps the players that are stronger from the baseline.
Definitively this surface helps more Dimitrov.

Weather and 3/5 sets:
In Australian the weather is always a big factor to consider on every match, and there is no doubt that on such a match between these two players the physical shape will payoff to the distance, because after a couple of sets will start another match, a very different one and the shape and physical power of Dimitrov is no way comparable to the one of the French player and if Gasquet would not win in straight sets, thing that appears unrealistic to us, we don't see how the French would overcome in 4 or 5 sets.
In Aust

Returns:
For Gasquet is very important to serve extremely well to make the points go quick, but on the other part of the net he faces a player who is very good on the returns, being able to be very reactive to the opponent's service and this part will be a huge minus for Richard.
On the other side Gasquet returns always way too far from the baseline and this might give the chance for Dimitrov to open the court easily serving great and will let run Gasquet from a side to the other one, thing that in the long run will "kill" the French.

Head2Head:
Gasquet is leading on the Head2Head, but Dimitrov has won in straight sets the last one, which was played a few months ago, at the end of the 2016 season on a very similar surface to this one at the Australian Open and on that match Dimitrov has clearly dominated the match.

Verdict:
All the keys of this match in our opinion are in favor of Grigor Dimitrov and 1.80 is way too much for this match, where in our opinion the bookies are doing an incredible mistake and the odds for the Bulgarian on this match, considering the 3/5 sets should have been way lower than what the market offers
We do really thing and expect Grigor Dimitrov to win this match.
