Well Im sure plenty of you remember a few weeks ago where I kept saying the pats were going to the super bowl and how I had a large futures bet on them. Well that moment is here, and Im terrified, Atlanta offense is the real deal and the pats bend dont break defense really didnt look as good as the score yesterday. The pats dont seem to get any pressure on opposing QB's. The pats have 3 total sacks in the last 3 games, and all 3 were on osweiler.
So looking at this matchup, what do you guys think about

1.The pats defense(statistically they're the best, but in reality, they've played literally nobody)

2.The pats soft schedule(They were 11-1 with Tom in the regular season and I think 1-1 vs playoff teams???)

3.The pats ability to prepare with 2 weeks vs an offense like ATL, they held antonio brown to 77 yards yesterday.

4.The falcons defense, where does it rank in terms of defenses the pats have played

5.The pats gameplan vs falcons, bill always takes away your main weapon, can sanu/gabriel torch the pats?

6.Predictions?

I personally think -3 patriots is too easy which has me worried big time, but at the same time tom is chasing #5 and greatness and the game is in a dome where weather wont be a factor. The only thing that really scares me is the pats defense, atlanta is really young on defense, and I feel like tom is going to pick them apart. Im really seeing a 36-20 pats win, curious what others think. PS, dogs have outright won the last 5 super bowls, a favorite has gotta be due right?!?!? lol

1. Coach - NE by a mile
2. QB - NE (slightly) / tie
3. Def - NE (overall) / ATL - last 6 huge improved
4. Off - ATL (slightly)

IMO... the biggest factor of all... if you can't get to Brady (sacks, pressure...etc.) you have no chance. And I don't think ATL can get to him.

i agree the only times tom struggles is vs defenses who hit him:ravens, giants, hell the texans had 3 turnovers and still got blown out. I admittedly dont know much about the ATL d, but are they legit? I know they got one of the top sack men in beasley and obviously we all saw how a guy like that can singlehandedly wreck a team with von miller last year. Overall the atlanta D seems really young and a bunch of no name guys, are they really the group to shut down tom?

Something to think about

my line on this game. Whole year stats ATL -4.5.......last 8 games -5.5......last 4 games -1

Atl wins the turn over game 25 vs 35. By 10
atl less penalty
two key factor in "myline"

I started doing some research, check out this mind blower:

What AFC Super Bowl favorite, that had a better regular season record than their NFC opponent, was the last to cover a Super Bowl?

Ready for this, insane!

1979-80 Pittsburgh Steelers!

Wow...Didn't know that...AceAce's tibid.
Also, I believe Brady only covered as favorite once in all SB appearances. The first time was 14 pt dog but won SU vs Rams. And Sea game was pk. Something to think about

Excuse me boys. As I said in my thread don't waste 2 weeks discussing meaningless stats and ratings. Atlanta covers 100% and wins the game 99%. Good luck to all of you.

With Tom Brady playing they were 2-1 regular season vs playoffs TEAMS, wins vs miami and pittsburgh who were both missing their starting QB's and a loss vs seattle. All im saying is this pats team isnt really battle tested at all. They really dont get any pass rush as evidence by 2 of the last 3 games ending in 0 sacks. Does anyone have the record of the pats opponents this year, the total wins and losses of their opponents? They played a super soft schedule. The falcons have a very young D, I think 3 rookies start and another 2-3 2nd year guys play alot, tom could exploit that big time. All Im saying is its been a damn long time since a favorite covered in the big game, and the pats d doesnt really inspire confidence in ms vs this historic offense from ATL

Brady was 2-1 vs playoff teams. Team 4-1 during season.

now he's 4-1 vs playoff teams, team 6-1

they're 16-2 SU
they're 15-3 ATS, if one wants to have this discussion (I'm really not that guy), then this ATS record has to be relevant

they're exceeding expectations, not somehow underachieving supposedly because of who they played

battle tested or not, pats will play up to their competition

i just forsee brady toying with the falcons secondary and methodically marching down the field
matty ice will get his TDs, but he won't be able to match the output. i think pats will double julio, put malcolm butler on sanu, and force ryan to throw to gabriel or a short pass to coleman

does the lack of patriots pass rush worry you at all vs a great qb like matt ryan? I know it scares the hell outta me

The thing is you can take away julio. Falcons have proved they can put up 30+ pts with julio involved or without julio involved. I don't think people understand that. Imo pats wont try to take any one thing away. Too many pieces that can hurt you. The one thing you wont see is missed assignments by either defenses imo. Hence most likely an under

this is football talk missy. Hush , men are posting

Hahaha... We're civilized men. Let her air opinion.

Talk of weak schedule for Brady's Pats sound like finding angle to legitimize ATL play to me. This is not last year Cam's Panthers we're referring to. This is a 7-time Superbowl team we talking about. All these SOS is comical to me when it's Brady. What else is there to prove? I rather you use past Superbowl performances that may make more sense. I think it's 2-4 ats

Same angle can be said for Pats. Have you seen what Brady's done to great defenses that couldn't get to him throughout his career.
