Day 1 of the Davis Cup Week-end
Tennis Majors is investing the daily full capital on the following event, that in our opinion is absolutely the best bet of the 1st Day of the Davis Cup Week-end and a clear mistake by the bookies.

Jiri Vesely to beat Jordan Thompson

Date: 02 February 2017

Time: 07.00pm Local Time (01.00am CET)

Tournament: Davis Cup

Event: Jordan Thompson vs Jiri Vesely

PICK: Jiri Vesely TO WIN
Odds: 2.00

Strength: Full Confidence

Jordan Thompson is a 22-years old Australian player.
We cannot call him the typical Australian player because he is not so tall and doesn't have such a huge service. He plays a decent baseline tennis, very regular on the performance, doesn't have a lot of power and winners, but he fights pretty good from the baseline and he doesn't make too many unforced errors.

He had a decent beginning of the season 2017 for his standards, achieving 1/4 in Brisbane and 2nd round either in Sidney and at the Australian Open.

Jiri Vesely is a 23-years old Czech player.
No matter that he is 1.98cm tall, he is an all around player and can play pretty solid from the baseline, he doesn't have such big service either but being a lefty he can be very difficult to return and have a lot of chances to open the court for the winner and also playing to the net pretty good. On the baseline he plays good, not much power, not much winners, but pretty solid with his forehand and backhand as well.

He lost at the 1st round of the Australian Open, with bad luck on the draw losing to Monfils, prior to that he achieved the 1/4 in Auckland and 2nd round in Doha.

KEYS

Experience
Playing the Davis Cup is not as playing a normal tournament, because you are used to play for yourself, but not to play for your country and this could give extra pressure.
Jiri Vesely is surely on the tour from more time than the Australian, has played important matches, important tournaments and we believe he can manage to handle the pressure way better. Also the Australian plays home and this will make things even harder for him, instead Vesely stress-free could be more relaxed and focused to express his best tennis.

Solid Tennis for both, the Service matters
Both have pretty decent tennis from the baseline, not missing a lot, but don't have a lot of winners to lead the game. On these circumstances the service becomes a big key a we believe Vesely is the one that can get more free points and can open the court way easier than the other one.

Verdict
Overall a very easy match to analyze, just this couple of keys in our opinion will make the difference on this match.
