John Kruk left ESPN because he was tired of meetings and non-stop phone calls from Bristol.

Just about everyone can relate to John Kruk.
Well, everyone can relate to one part of him anyway: he hates meetings.
And while many people think that on a day-to-day basis, Kruk didn't mind saying it publicly as a gripe about his old place of employment, ESPN. Kruk was introduced as a new member of the Phillies broadcasting team on Tuesday, and didn't waste his time getting in zings at the World Wide Leader.
"If I say this I'm going to get in trouble, but I'll say it anyway," Kruk said, via CSN Philly. "Me? I'm not big on meetings. We had a lot of them up there (at ESPN). A whole bunch. Incessant phone calls. I didn't answer most. Pretty rude when somebody's hitting to answer your phone when you're playing golf."
"The phone calls weren't that bad," he added. "It was having to listen to them that was painful."
Kruk, who played for the Phillies for six seasons, and ESPN parted ways in October.
Now he'll be traveling around with the Phillies again, though there's one aspect of the job he's going to need some help with.
"Figuring out how to get around a stadium, I really suck at that," Kruk said. "I mean it's terrible. I'm going to have call everyone in here at least once to ask how I get from point A to point B."
