The SNL problem is that any non Idiot Drumpf, or the pathetic Clowns surrounding him skit, still sucks.

I'm always amused by liberals who like to cite comedians as legitimate news sources. Be it SNL or John Stewart or Stephen Colbert, it's real, it happens, it's a data source for them. "It's real, you're not dreaming, it's not a nightmare, this is your America"

Although such sources may actually be a step up in accuracy for the 10 second sound bite crowd, I too find a lot of humor in all of that knowledge and wisdom learned from comedians and fake news and lying career politicians which so many of them worship to this day. A lifetime of failure be damned.

Or should I call it hate instead of humor and lies? Tough call (not really, I jest, it's non stop hate)

Then again, many of them are ashamed to be even called liberals, they fancy themselves moderates. Hope I'm not insulting any of those fair and open minded moderates that just happen to hate everything Trump does and says.

It's Sunday people, go stop a violent crime with hugs and compassion and love and understanding (see, I really do find them funny too)

I find it kind of funny that Willie99 basically implies that SNL, Stewart ect. are not accurate. They are comedy shows. What I think is funny is they can make spoofs on the truth......what really did happen. How much time in the media, tweets ect has the Trump wasted energy on things that are so unimportant like how many people were at the inauguration or Ivanka and Nordstroms.

I think Melissa MaCarthy as Sean Spicer was extremely funny. I think I have only seen Spicer 3 or 4 times giving a briefing. His first briefing was a total disaster and she basically exagerates his demeanor and errors. His first press conference he states 5 facts that were I think almost all incorrect. If someone in the business world lies to my face and claims 5 facts and I check and find out he was lying to me. Immediately they lose all credibility and I dont believe anything they are saying.....and they might in turn be telling the truth after that. Then calling them alternative facts. Come on man.

For example he stated there was a some sort of tarp down for the first time so you could see the ground. Would be a logical arguement. One problem it was used at Obama's. The ridership on DC metro transit. Some number that should be verifiable. He actually understated the number but called it a fact. There were more rider than he stated. He also had the number for Obama's wrong too. He stated the crowds were slow to get to there because they needed to pass through metal detectors. Another very valid point.....one problem they did not use metal detectors.

And POTUS has a history of lying about darn near everything.

So when a comedian calls out these lies and make jokes about the words these public figures make I find it funny they are called to the carpet and it is any elected official or public famous person.

Like one other poster said they have so much new material that is funny to spoof like ....the Bowling Green Massacre, terrorist attack in Atlanta (not once but 3 times). Why didnt someone else on the staff tell him after the first time it was a mistake? Is no one on the staff paying attention? This in itself has no defense.

I would say if you misspoke once...that is easy to happen to anyone.....3 times in 3 days....you have no idea what you are talking about. So making jokes and spoofs on something like that is very funny. Obviously at the expense of Sean Spicer.

Just for the record......I thought Donald Trump was a rich blow hard 30 years ago and I still have that opinion. I really cant think of presidential qualities he has. I dont think he is a good businessman and if he was born to an average american family 70 years ago you would have never heard of him.....but he wasnt.

Since we never saw his tax returns....the only true accurate data that someone could ever use to argue him being a good or bad businessman would be....tax returns supplied for his gaming license in New Jersey and the performance of his stock on the stock exchange. His stock was a total disaster and no one intelligent individual could argue it was anything other than a disaster. Trump was a con man and made millions but anyone who listened to the con man loss their asses.

Yes he sucks at life. His fortune was handed to him and he is consistently blowing through the gifts of his parents. He has been a drain on the family and an utter failure. He never has made a profit on anything. Typical SJW trust fund baby. He also is so dumb that he won the presidential election by turning states red that hasnt happened in 30+ years.

He is a total disaster. You are so much better at life. You should run for president in 4 years.

I probably have better ideas than any of our presidents in the last 30-40 years have had.

Here is the fundamental problem in the United State: we spend more than we take in and continue to grow our debt. That fact right there will be the eventual down fall of the United States. Only one candidate in the las 40 years has addressed that as one of our main issues and that was Perot and he got 18% of the votes. The reason it will never be the main point a candidate wont run on this issue is simple.....you will never get elected and their egos are two big....even if it is the right thing to do. Until we address this issue we are heading backwards.

Someone getting free money from the government wont vote for it.....people that make more and can afford to pay more taxes and not effect their lifes wont support it. So no one wants to look in the mirror and face reality.

In terms of jobs. I had drinks with my college room mate and this came up in conversation. You have to look in the future and see where the world is going. He owns a company that makes machines for companies to automate their production. Has done it for companies like Medtronics and 3M. The frank reality is these companies will make investments of millions of dollars for a machine that runs 24/7 versus having 20 employees doing the same thing. The machine doesn't complain, doesnt need a raise, a break, healthcare or a 401k to fund. They do this because of ROI. That is the direction the world is heading and you have to either embrace that and plan accordingly or you will be left behind.

Being POTUS would be a horrible job.....probably cant even bet on a football game.

Funniest line I've read in awhile.

So I guess Enfuego your plan if you were in charge is to spend more than you take in and eventually somehow it will all work out? Or just let the grandkids pay for it somehow I will be dead by then.

Not one president in the last 40 years has addressed the issue of spending relative to income. I think this is a huge fundamental problem and that having no debt would allow us as a country to do more. I have no idea what the interest on the debt is....all I know is that it is a huge number. If we didnt have that debt and left everything else in terms of taxes exactly the same.....we could use that money to build new roads and bridges (which create jobs), we could use it for health care of children, we could use it to make our top 25% children the smartest kids in the world.

How could you even possibly argue that eliminating the debt and using the money for something else could be a bad thing?

The only reason it wont happen is because you will never get elected on that platform. It is all about getting elected and power. Wake up and smell the coffee....it is not about what is best for the average Joe.

The way it will play out I think is there will be a period of super high inflation to pay off the debt with money not worth as much as it is today. This will result in a major worldwide depression. How soon that happens is yet to be seen.

Other option and maybe we elected Trump 30-75 years to soon. Tell everyone you owe ....too bad and declare bankruptcy.

Our deficit is just like your bank account so to think you can spend more than you bring in each month is just dumb.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand that concept.

If Obama could never produce a Birth Cert does trump have to show returns?

Do you have footage with Obama saying to the american public that if I am elected I will produce a birth certificate?

I am pretty sure that Donald Trump stood infront of a camera and told the American people when the audit of his tax returns were completed then he would release them. Does anyone else remember this or has Alzheimer set in for me? If you say you are going to do this....then I think you should.

I think his tax return would make him look bad for some reason and that is why he wont release them. Whatever that reason is. My opinion....why else would he not release them.

You will never be elected POTUS being a poor person.....Bernie Sanders might have gotten the closest. Put your tax returns out there for the public to see....if you have nothing to be ashed of....it is no big deal. I am not looking at someones tax returns to make a decision on who I vote for. But there may be something in there that I would take into consideration.

A better analogy is it doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand this.....oh and by the way I am actually a rocket scientist. So if you agree with my statement why would you call it the funniest thing you have read in awhile? I think it is a fairly accurate portrayal of one of our biggest problems and name the last US president that addressed the issue? It had to be before my time.
