You have a couple of comments over at BPS. These responders don't seem to be deep thinkers. Also you have an idiotic troll beneath your punk article over there.

NATO Needs to Reform into a Global Alliance Against Islamic Terrorism - Rafael Bardaji and Richard Kemp (Telegraph-UK)

The Atlantic Alliance was indeed instrumental in deterring the USSR and keeping the European continent in peace, with America providing leadership, taking a big portion of the economic burden, and being willing to station hundreds of thousands of GIs in Europe.

In the early '90s, with the civil war in the former Yugoslavia, NATO acted as a multinational body to enforce peace among rivals and contenders. Thus, in 1995, allied forces bombed Serbian forces to force the Dayton agreement and put an end to the war over Bosnia-Herzegovina. In 1999 they mounted a bombing campaign to guarantee the independence of Kosovo.
After the dramatic attacks of 9/11, NATO activated, for the first time in its history, Article 5, the clause that determines an attack against one member is an attack against all. Unfortunately, there were no capabilities to really help the U.S. in such a far place from Europe as Afghanistan.
NATO should accept that we are all under attack by Islamist extremist forces of all kinds and make the fight against Islamic terrorism its core mission.
In order to reinforce our Western world, NATO must invite to become members, countries that are alike in the defense of our values and with the willingness to share the burden in this struggle. NATO should invite without delay Israel, Japan, Singapore and India to become members.

Mr. Bardaji is the Executive Director of the Friends of Israel Initiative and the former National Security Adviser to the Spanish government. Colonel Kemp is a board member of the Friends of Israel Initiative and the former Commander of British Forces in Afghanistan.

Well said. Take it a step further. Include places like Egypt, Jordan, Turkey i mean if we really want peace in the middle east wouldn't this be a shrewd tactic? And those who dont want peace now we can identify and know our enemy at the state level as well. Just a quick thought i didnt think about it too much but ill read the full article soon today.

Yes. BTW as most realize all these postings from dailyalert.org are summaries of larger articles. Full article is linked by clicking inside red lettering.

Here, from same newsletter, same day:
Change Has Not Come to the Middle East - Michael Singh

The real story in the Middle East is not how much things have changed, but how little. The economic and political stagnation that birthed the 2011 uprisings has, if anything, worsened. The biggest change in the region has been the strategic disengagement of the U.S., which has reconfigured the region's geopolitical landscape and spurred other external powers to increase their involvement in the region.
The clearest case is Russia, whose intervention in Syria saved the Assad regime from elimination. But China, European states, and others have more quietly increased their own involvement in the Middle East, heralding the end of the decades-long era of unchallenged American primacy in the region. Yet America retains an interest in combating terrorism, preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction, and ensuring the free flow of commerce and energy.
There are three changes to U.S. policy in the region that President Trump could make that would serve our interests well over time. First, he should act firmly to counter Iran. Doing so would not only help to sustainably end the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and elsewhere, but would put the U.S. back on the same page strategically with our allies, who consider Tehran's regional ambitions their top threat.
Second, he should seek to rebuild U.S. alliances in the region, focusing on forging a more capable and useful multilateral grouping of likeminded regional partners. Finally, he should help our allies, where they are willing, to take actions that will make them more resilient to regional threats and responsive to their own populations.

I'll just cut to the chase. Why Islam and The West can not coexist?
Islam doesn't want peace it wants world dominance.

The conflict with Islam has been going on since 1096.
It's not going to end until one side commits mass
genocide against the other. All of the attempts at
peace over the centuries have proved futile.

At some point you have to realize it's just not going
to happen. How long are you going to beat your head
against a wall before you conclude it hurts and you need
to stop.

Which brings me to my next observation, humans are stupid.
We waste altogether too much energy and resources on things
that we imagine can be accomplished by talking instead of
acting. How many times in your career have you attended a
meeting where all that was settled was the time of the next
meeting.

Now I have to admit all talk and no action does extend ours
lives in a safe way. It also makes us feel relevant.

Ha ha, the jokes on us.

Well said.

I've been screaming it from day one in here. Islam is not just a religion, it's a fascist ideology that wants to take over the world. But, maggot libtards
like Guesser say that is bigoted and racist, because he can't handle the truth. He'd rather give Iran a nuke in the name of "peace" than upset
some Muslims that would just as soon kill him as look at him.

Some people just don't get it. Guesser happens to be one of many.

Ok so you walk into your dentist office and check in. You take a seat and there are a mother and daughter wearing head coverings in the small waiting room which is otherwise empty. One says hello, the other smiles. Your move?

Hannity did such a poor job in that interview. I remember that one, that was a few years ago i think. He has since had that guy on a few times since. Instead of getting all riled up and talking over that guy he should have just let him talk and probe and talk. His audience should be smart enough to figure out what the dude is saying. Like calling it "Islamofacism" that was dumb. He clearly said Islam means "Submission" just let him walk himself into oblivion with that nonsense. Then about the gays receiving capital punishment. He should have worked that one too. Tucker Carlson does that at times too, its kind of annoying. Let the person being interviewed self-incriminate themselves. Dont try and be confrontational. Its like these guys are trying to get brownie points or look a certain type of way. Im not saying you shouldnt disagree or counter but probe and probe and probe above all else. I think if youre prepared for these things you just let the fucking lunatics talk themselves into more shit than confronting them so much. This was a good one because he said shit most muslims wont say in public much less basically network news.

This is a perceptive post. No need to push a guy in the back when he's walking into a wall. Or dominate by interruption the subject of an interview who is demonstrating himself to be a fool.
I have to correct the Yogi Berra-ism though ... "self-incriminate themselves"... I had a chuckle at that redundancy. Toss either the first or third word in that phrase.

Cant do this from my phone, so ill just post the link until i get home later this afternoon.

Georgetown University’s Alwaleed bin Talal Chair of Islamic Civilization, Jonathan A. C.Brown

Jonathan-A.-C.-Brown.jpg

is the director of Georgetown’s Saudi-funded Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU)

Brown spent the majority of the lecture talking about slavery in the United States, the United Kingdom and China. When discussing slavery in these societies Brown painted slavery as brutal and violent (which it certainly was). When the conversation would briefly flip to historic slavery in the Arab and Turkish World, slavery was described by Brown in glowing terms.

Where have We ventured to when this is the "Understanding' College Students are getting from a "Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding"

Obviously the only "Understanding" that will come from Brown is what The Saud Family wants to be Understood.

How is it Proper (or even Acceptable) that a College Professor be a Saudi Plant? A Mouthpiece for a Foreign Power who speaks In Favor of The Subjugation of Females, Rape and Sex Slavery?

Is this the sort of "Understanding" that Americans need?

wah0.gif

For more than two centuries, Wahhabism has been Saudi Arabia's dominant faith.

It is an austere form of Islam that insists on a literal interpretation of the Koran. Strict Wahhabis believe that all those who don't practice their form of Islam are heathens and enemies.

Critics say that Wahhabism's rigidity has led it to misinterpret and distort Islam, pointing to extremists such as Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.

Wahhabism's explosive growth began in the 1970s when Saudi charities started funding Wahhabi schools (madrassas) and mosques from Islamabad to Culver City, California.

"The reason why there is conflict between Muslims and Western
countries is because Western countries are invading or occupying Muslims countries….Westerners depict Muslims as violent because the Muslims react against the invasions."

Brown married his fellow Muslim Georgetown graduate, Laila Al-Arian. Laila is an Al Jazeera television producer and the daughter of the University of South Florida Professor Sami Al-Arian. American authorities deported Sami to Turkey in 2015 as part of a 2006 conviction for providing material support to the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Befitting Brown’s father-in-law (the family that wages jihad together stays together?), Brown, his Georgetown ACMCU colleagues Yvonne Haddad and John Esposito, and Sinanović support Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel.

All of them have signed a declaration of religious studies scholars with the usual BDS statements condemning Israel’s “colonization of all Arab lands occupied in June 1967” and “discriminatory laws” similar to “South African apartheid.” The declaration’s demands also include Israel recognizing “rights of Palestinian refugees to return,” a measure that would demographically destroy Israel’s Jewish state.

Brown’s BDS support has caused him to oppose the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council (MJAC) recently launched by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and the MB-derived Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).

Given AJC’s opposition to BDS and Islamism, the MJAC interfaith effort has not received a warm welcome from his ilk.

On Facebook, he has accordingly declared that “[a]fter receiving advice from people more knowledgeable than me on BDS,” he has concluded that “[p]artnering with the AJC would be a violation of BDS” so he “can’t support the MJAC plan.”

Brown’s Facebook page reveals more Islamist radicalism, like his pro-MB Rabia symbol Facebook profile.

R4BIAwwww.jpg

For him, this symbol popularized after the Egyptian military’s brutal 2013 crackdown on the MB indicates that “subverting progress towards more accountable government cannot be allowed.” Despite the MB’s totalitarian and violent legacy, his Facebook postings declare that “to use ‘the Muslim Brotherhood’ in the same sentence with Isis, terrorism or extremism cannot be tolerated.”

Similarly, on Facebook he has posted “#IMarchWithLinda” in support of the “Women’s March on Washington” organizer Linda Sarsour, another Islamist BDS supporter who has tweeted “nothing is creepier than Zionism.”

Brown’s Facebook radicalism also has a domestic dimension when he posts that “Muslims in America should stand with Black Lives Matter,” another pro-BDS movement. “Muslims who don’t have the bandwidth to be supportive on this issue should remain silent on it,” he writes. While he condemns Israel, white men should let African Americans speak for themselves and support them. They probably shouldn’t offer their opinions on issues regarding the African American community.”
