Anyone ever recovered one? The fucker who found it turn it off... obv will have to turn it on when he wants to sell it, google blocked it and send a message with my house number and email... so did the app PREY which is great and I recommend 100%, gives GPS location, takes pics and sends to my email, sounds an alarm and also sends a message...

Guy wont be able to sell it only way is contacting me and asking for ransom. Of course I will say yes, sure Ill pay.

Gonna give him some old fashioned brass knuckle beating... I will break a face today boys.

I have an app called prey that blocks the phone with a secret pw, takes pics of the culprit when turned on, locates via GPS... no one will ever use that phone UNLESS i unlock it. Its a Galaxy S5... nice phone but bunch of personal stuff in there

Someone found it for sure, I was calling in and suddenly they turned it off.

I deceively sent a message offering reward... only way they can get a penny out of it... I will break a jaw if given the chance.

It's possible that whoever found it doesn't know how to use a cell phone, pushed the wrong button when it rang and turned it off. I say this from experience; this was about 15 years ago.

Because of the app Im using... is actually double blocked by google maps and by prey, as soon as it get access to internet/turned on it will give me coordinates, send me pics of the person turning it on and displaying a message letting them know the phone is blocked as fuck, reported stolen and Im offering a reward. The reward will be me and my brother, a titanium baseball bat and a brass knuckle... if they ask for a $20 or something reasonable I might not kick someones ass, but if I get blackmailed or I sense this guy is shady, Im gonna go medieval.

Phone has not been turned back on since 8am... which makes me think it was taken by someone who is at work 8-4 9-5 kinda deal and is waiting to get out to go and try and sell it... when they turn it on theyll see my contact info with a reward offer.

Bunch of info lost and the hassle of buying a new phone while paying other stuff that should be priority, not to mention all the memoties I had of my ex gf (pics, audios, even a couple of videos of us together that have no price on it).

Im bummed, if I dont get it back this sucks.

Well lets hope it was a very old lady and is waiting for someone to help her get the phone back on, possible best scenario but doubtful

Im familiar with those apps. I also know for a fact you can get around them and do a factory reset. If who ever has it is a pro and does this all the time, kiss it goodbye. If it was a rookie, idiot or opportunist, your above statement will be true.

Yeah,

The overseas values for used iphones is amazing. Other carriers dont care if its stolen, as long as it wasnt one of their customer, New SIM card... good to go.

And there are still countries where iPhone are not sold. So you can get more than retail for a used stolen iphone overseas.

If you had a cousin in Africa or Asia that could sell a used iphone 5s for $400 or more (tax free) you could live off 1 a week for sure. And if thats your "living" you probably have many other hustles going on in addition to that.
