Four longshots and two $25 wagers = Atlantic Canada’s largest PRO●LINE win ever
St. John’s, NL – Craig Whittle was so sure of his picks, he made them twice: the first time online at ProlineStadium.com and the second in the traditional way: in person at Marie’s Mini Mart on Cornwall Ave.
When the final buzzers sounded on four NBA games, The St. John’s man’s two separate $25 wagers netted him $81,156.25 and $107,187.50 respectively for a record-breaking total of $188,343.75. The difference in the win amounts reflects a change in odds in his favour between the time he purchased his first ticket and his second.
When combined, these wins represent the largest individual PRO•LINE payout since Atlantic Lottery first began offering the product in 1994. The largest individual win previously on record was a PRO•LINE ticket worth $127,086 in 2011. Craig has won big at PRO•LINE before: he won $12,641 on a ticket back in November, 2016.

- The longshot picks included upset road-victories by Orlando and Philadelphia, both near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings in the NBA.
- The largest underdog selection saw Denver defeat league-leading Golden State 132-110 on February 13. Golden State had only eight regular season losses prior to the match-up.
- Denver's odds were a staggering 14.00 for the game.
