I wanted to start a thread to actually discuss the teams playing, I thought of doing a thread for each game but figured it would litter up the board.

What I invision would be very nice for everyone here, at least the novice honest bettors like me, is a thread where people who know a tid bit about a team could come place it here and be helpful for the others. Example, Coach XYZ is undefeated in the sweet 16 (hopefully if you make a comment like that its more than 1 game though). Or Team X's guards are far superior, or can't handle pressure, etc. Things like that. Everyone is so interested in posting a play, well lets try to just put as much honest info out there to help the people who are actually here looking for info for which way to place a wager.

I'll start:

Florida vs Wisky:
-A betting trend I ran across the other day is when a lower seed knocks off a number 1, they usually fall the next game. I like Florida in this spot against Wisky.
-I really like the length and temp FLorida can put against Wisky, much like a michigan did.
-Wisky has some real tournament experience with Hayes and Koenig, they've been to a final four and then a championship game. Value that how you may, but it's not to be over looked I don't htink.

Baylor vs South Carolina:
Not much info on this game by me?

Gonzaga vs WVU:
Again, not much info.
-East coast teams going to the west coast don't usually fair all that well.

Xavier vs Arizona:
-I believe, but not verified, that the Xavier coach is O'fer in teh sweet 16.
-Miller I believe has knocked off Mack twice in the sweet 16

Kansas vs Purdue:
-Not much info here to throw out.
-Does kansas have the inside paint players to not let Haas and swanigan dominate this game?
-Game is in Kansas City, this should not be overlooked

Oregon vs Michigan:
-Flip a coin? I really don't have any input here but I know many people here are close to both of these teams, so hopefully we can get some useful info.
-Altman is 1-1 in the sweet 16, losing to number 1 seed louisville a few years ago as a 12 seed then last year winning in teh sweet 16.

UNC vs Butler:
-Good chance that Arkansas game grabbed UNC's players attention.
-Don't really know much about Butler here, if they have faced anyone with the likes of UNC.

UCLA vs Kentucky:
-Rematch from a game UCLA won at Kentucky earlier in the year.
-Will need to verify, but I believe Calipari has an astonishing Sweet 16 record.

You can kind of see the info that I think would be very beneficial. Hopefully we can gather tons of info from people on here who want to contribute and this will allow for the novice bettors to have a place to take in such info to make an informed decision.

Hope this works!

Couple of my observations.
UNC will have 20 more rebounds than Butler. Even if their shots aren't dropping, there should be second chance buckets all night.
Gonzaga will have problems with WVa press. I think they will wear down. WVa "A" game beats anything but the Gonzaga "a+" game.
kentucky player are too mean and tough for UCLA, who used those soft rims to their advantage. Ball is their only chance, but he's only one man. Gotta think calipari is gonna attack him on every possession and try to get him out of there. Not a bad plan, by the way
michigan looks to be on a mission from God. Ducks are good though. Maybe just a little too good for these guys.
xaviers luck will run out. They can't out score these guys and can't stop them either. See ya later musketeers

I'm a South Carolina fan and I can tell you that we don't match up well with Baylor. We don't have much size and Baylor is a very long team. It's hard to cap the intangibles like heart and having great senior leadership, but on paper, and based on other games versus similar teams, this isn't a good match up for us. I'm not betting on or against us but just thought I'd give my take on this game. Good luck.

I was leaning UCLA until Haystack's. man of the Kentucky players are as old as Ball. They all think they are as good as him. They will be out to prove it. I'm going Wildcats.

Wildcats are revenge game and they will lay down the hammer of Thor on Lonzo balls dads balls in this one
zona next biggest game for me with X missing sumner this is where they feel it
unc - Roy doesn't play after poor performances should be ready to win by dd going away
wvu - better conf better team should be Laying points the way I c it
oregon- too many ppl on mich wagon now I feel but they are on a mission and could win it all I got Oregon by 1 in Brooks's 3 to end it
fla wisky tough one..... if wisky stays out of foul trouble could keep it close but I like Florida here to set the pace and win by 8-11
south Carolina is my team in this tourney along w Princeton so I'll be rooting for a ff appearance where I have them in my big bracket
purdue - swannigan down low will be the diff if he's on they win or cover if off at all I say Kansas by dd. Jackson is sick and this is a champ caliber starting 5

Hoping to get a # on nigel hayes, points scored, OVER. Ive yet to see him, not, be able to get Deep, post position under the basket. Man vs boys out there. And when he goes up with ball, he clears space, like No other college player in the game. Not sure about the rest of the wisc team, but Nigel, will do damage on scoreboard

Being an SC fan ...sure you know much more than myself bro ...but SC handled a Syracuse team on a neutral court by 14 and height wise Syracuse is even bigger than Baylor ... Baylor does have a rebound edge over syracuse and their Tempo is 329 Rank compared to Syracuse 274 .... Tempo does matter ...

SC 's losses vs teams with similar height to Baylor .... Seton Hall , Clemson and memphis were all without Thornwell ....

They did lose to Bama at home in OT that's similar to Baylor in height and Tempo ... Plus Baylor shoots the ball better than Bama ..

Leaning Baylor as well ... tough to bet against Thornwell , playing like a guy on a mission ....

usually off to fast start in games refer to big 10 tourney
Tightens up D in 2nd half
Wagner(Vahgner) Inside outside threat energized team
Walton playing off the charts will guard their best player can score inside and out
Irvin hit or miss from field best when he drives opens up his 3 point game
Wilson good rebounder streaky scorer not great post defender come into his own lately clutch free throw shooter
Duncan Robinson good 3 point shooter poor defender
Team Michigan does not foul top 5 in country does not turn ball over top 5 great free throw shooters top5 weak bench role players

It's free throws attempted per field goal attempt, not free throws attempted ranking / field goal attempted ranking.

They are .269 free throw attempts per field goal attempt. That's #341 out of 351 teams.

After watching Florida.....they stink on offense. If my man 5 doesn't save them, ( thanks for all those free throws to win the first half kid ) they would already be out. The thing is, if you stink on offense and you have to play this South Carolina team, you have a big problem. This is a little moto, but then taking West Virginia and their press vs Gonzaga seemed moto too. Lucky to have bought a half there.

kentucky will find the sledding much tougher against UNC. They were in a great spot vs UCLA, but no so much here.

With these sharp lines, it's always wise to take small faves on the money line and buy the hook up on the dogs.its made a difference.
