METFANS 2017 THREAD TEAM TOTALS AND PICKS..Don't kill the umpire

sick of managers over managing, bringing in mediocre pitchers who blow 3 run leads and turn 2-1 unders into 5-4 overs and sore armed pitchers giving up 4-5 runs then going on the DL? How about guys popping up check swinging on 3-0 bases loaded 2 out counts? Then you are probably watching the same games as me..Over the yrs the one thing that has been more constant is the umpires ..There is a group of about 20-25 that are fairly consistent overs/unders..favs/or homers

I have decided this yr to try to find those and try to win $200-$300 per umpire..For you RXERS who failed remedial math ( by your record keeping that is about 70%)

IF successful that should net me between $4000-$7500..if anyone knows a good home plate umpire rotation site, that would be appreciated. Particularly for the first game of the series..the rest is easy to find

TOP TEAM TOTALS..All lines at 5 dimes

BALT OVER 80.5 -105 /SHOWWALTER always seems to find a way and if Jones and Machado stay healthy, they could easily top 85

CUBS OVER 96.5 +110..rest of division weaker..Davis makes them stronger

CINCY UNDER 69.5-105 Scott Feldman is a key starter, no Phillips , no Bruce, no hope..even in weak division hard to see them getting 65

KC OVER 76.5 -110
MINNY UNDER 74.5 +100 Are the royals so bad that they have sunk to the level of the twins? if they stay healthy they can compete for the division
Minny under? I like betting on bad teams to do badly..seems to work in all sports

ST LOUIS OVER 83.5 -140 It seems they always find a way..rest of the division is Cubs and not much more

SAN DIEGO UNDER 66.5 -140..They will battle the reds for worst in baseball..a sure 100 loss team esp if Rockies improve as expected

Plan on going on the Royals and following your umpire plays. My only worry with KC is that they trade their for minor leaguers if they aren't in the race. I think it's a great bet if they don't and worth the risk.

My thinking is I don't expect much from White Sox or minny and even without Davis bullpen figures to e in the top 1/2 of the league

Hey METFAN-

Good luck on your team totals this year.
My only total played is the Reds under 69.5 (-125)
As you mentioned about their bad SP , Desclafani is already shut down for a month.
The offense is Votto and not much else.
The bullpen should be shot by the All Star break.

Other props/futures I like.

Donaldson over 30.5 HR (-125)
The one thing that seemed odd to me on these HR total numbers were that a lot looked low compared to last year's performance.
Lots of players over achieved in that dept. last year and I trust the steady Donaldson to come close to last year's number.

I was fortunate to have a friend place this at a William Hill book in Vegas (SLS)

Astros to win AL West (EVEN)
I would still play to (-130).
My only worry here is the Rangers have their number but this lineup is just going to outscore just about everyone.
Mariners are getting some love but Smyly already injured (out 4-6 weeks) and King Felix best days might be behind him.

McCutcheon over 151 hits.
You're asking a career .292 hitter coming off a career worst year and playing with a chip on his shoulder to hit about .260
I believe he was playing hurt last year.
Moving to RF might help him relax more at the plate also.

THANKS LENBO..I liked Astros last yr and they screwed me..they should score a lot but their pitching scares me..plus a lot of tout love ..

I took a few hrs over/unders and some pitching over/unders..problem is you need to worry about injuries on the overs..will post shortly
