San Francisco Giants & Arizona Diamondbacks O8.5 -115 ($115-$100)

My numbers are showing 55% on the under and the line went up a .5 run. Nothing major, but its opening day, and why not take it. Two of the best lineups in baseball here. Greinke hates pitching in this stadium and his spring was a mess. Home team should scrape out some runs themselves. 6-4 sort of game. Happy Opening Day!

More people hammering the under with two teams that have great offenses. Over again.

Greinke-Baumgarner. Public plays under, it goes over.
Cueto-Corbin. Public plays under, its goes over.
Moore-Walker. Public plays over.....

Arizona Diamondbacks EVEN ($100 ---> $100)

If you take Goldschmidt and Descalso out of the equation, the Diamondback hitters are hitting over .300 in their career against Smarszdjizasa. Robbie Ray has +++stuff, but the guy just cannot stay in games long enough to matter. He made big strides in finding the strike zone in Spring Training and all the analytics guys speak to his poor fortune last year that contributed to his inflated numbers. In order to succeed at Chase Field, you need to avoid the long ball. Both of these pitchers tonight have made a career of giving those up. However, I think that Ray will see that decrease this year because of his new and improved slider that will help him stay ahead. I plan on playing Ray a lot this year, and anticipate him winning between 15-17 games. The rest of the country learns his name in 2017.

Shelby Miller was a turd last year. He was so freaking awful. However, in the Spring, he showed some major signs of life with his fastball averaging out 2-3 mph higher that it was last year. He finally has a fresh start here in Arizona. No longer are any expectations that he will be anything other than a failed trade that sent out Dansby Swanson, but now just another guy trying to get everything on track. New GM, new manager, and away from the catching shit-show in Wellington Castillo. Having a competent catcher is going to be a big boost to Miller. I don't expect him to shutout the Indians, but I do think he will do enough so that Diamondbacks will be able to keep their momentum rolling. Tomlin couldn't keep the ball inside the ballpark all Spring and I don't expect him to today either. Pollock and Peralta will rest, which could ultimately help the Diamondback field a better defensive lineup. It was a toss up between the Over and the DBacks, but I will take the extra $30.

Thank you, it was a wonderful weekend wedding. We were up in Sedona @ L'Auberge. Its really a magical place, and if anyone ever gets the chance...I couldn't recommend it more. They have a beautiful river that runs right behind the resort, and with the backdrop of the red mountains, it couldn't be more beautiful. I wanted to take a peak at this one early, because I have a TON of work to do today with Europa League and Champions League this week. Not to mention, maybe a chance to steal some late weekend money with Crystal Palace and Arsenal. I digress and away we go!

Arizona Diamondbacks & San Francisco Giants U8 Runs -120 ($120 ---> $100) - So, here is where I am at on this one. Total was 9.5 when these two teams/pitchers met a week ago in Arizona. I took a swipe at the Under and it bombed over to the tune of 14 runs. Well, it wasnt actually that bad when you look at how the game played out. Drury has a brain-fart in the 2nd inning that cost them a run. Then, Pollock misplayed a ball in center in the third that added a couple more on. The Giants gave up 3 unearned runs with a Belt error. The game just got goofy and go out of hand. Neil Ramirez of the Giants (WHO?) and JJ Hoover (HUH?) both gave up runs in middle relief. It was just weird. I felt that both pitchers actually threw the ball pretty well and I expect more of that today. I've always looked at 8 as a sucker line, you know the whole 'if we can just get tied at 4' garbage. Im expecting a much cleaner game today and afternoon starts in San Francisco always produce a weird shadow effect late in the game. Just the time these questionable bullpens could use any advantage they can get.

I hope everyone has a great day!
