A few things here, the most important being pitcher motivation. Buchholz seems uninterested and just going through the motions, whereas Davis is a 23 year old rookie making his MLB debut. Offensively we have slightly better hitters, and getting a good price on the home team in a rubber match.

Both teams have used their relievers/closers in the first two games and I don't see these starters going more than 6.0 innings. Royals bats will wake up a bit here against Gibson, and the Twins bats seem to be working for them so far.
