Leading up to the draft, aren't many of you thinking what I'm thinking? How can anyone take a chance on a guy like this?

The system in which some of these teams draft make me wonder if they just like being cellar dwellers.

Seemingly a weak QB class. Watch it be one of the better ones historically

Top 3 if not the top qb in the draft. Questioning what team would take a chance makes no sense. Go ahead and say 1 year starter or plays in an offense that doesn't translate or whatever. He's show enough poise and pocket presence to warrant a top 3 qb grade in this class. So were saying a top 3 qb in any draft isn't worth the pick? I'm not a huge fan of any qb coming out this year but there needs to be some prospective.

He's made 13 total starts in his collegiate career and against a good team in the bowl game, he fucking sucked.

He's got Heath Shuler and Tim Couch bust written all over him.

There's no bigger UNC football fan than me I promise you, but I'd be very wary of using a 1st round pick on Mitch. I think he has it in him to be great, but he's still unproven like Enfuego said. He did play poorly his last 3 games. That was partly due to a banged up OL and losing our field-stretching WR (Mack Hollins). I also think the hype got in his head and he pressed. That being said, the NFL is the big-boy league and he has to handle adversity/pressure in order to make it.

He could have really used another year as a college starter but most of his weapons graduated, and it's going to be a rough year in '17 for my Heels. I don't think his stock would have improved had he returned with a weak/young supporting cast, so from a business perspective he made the right call. I hope he does great.

Maybe so and im not going to go out of my way to defend a kid i'm not necessarily sold on. In my opinion Kizer, Trubisky, and Watson are the top 3 qb's in this draft. Rank them however which way I don't think there is much of a difference between any of them. In his limited sample size he's shown enough to be mentioned with those guys. Wouldn't knock down the door to draft high in the first.

So the real question is...if you need a QB and this class is sitting in front of you, do you take the smartest of the dumb kids or do you make a trade for Jimmy G etc.?

lol kizer? He will flop worse than Jamarcus Russell without the pay day. He's already admitted he screwed up coming out in this class, when there isn't much competition In this class. If you need a QB better get Watson. Can't get him? Get another top position player and improve your team while you wait for a worthy QB. Can't believe teams don't do this more often.

Mahomes is much better & will be a steal if he gets on the field & plays.

Steelers love Kizer and Mahomes and I don't have a clue why

If we get Lawson in 1st round (they are salivating over this injury machine) and Kizer in 2nd it will be the worst draft since we took Mendenhall and Sweed 1-2 in 2008

Yeah really...funny how Deshaun Watson is never mentioned.

Also agree, nobody talking of him lately. Very talented. Maybe people are just wary of the brothers at this position since they hardly transition well.

It's officially gone too far...

ESPN’s Todd McShay believes Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs could sneak into the late-first round.

http://draftwire.usatoday.com/2017/...see-qb-josh-dobbs-could-sneak-into-1st-round/

wow!! Dude was absolutely pitiful. Sometimes I really wonder how the mcshays of the world make these predictions. A few years back an ole miss QB came out early based solely on TODD mcshay, and he didn't even get drafted and off to the insurance sells career he went. Dobbs is AWFUL!!!
