Critical means severely ill, not out of the danger zone, stable means no further deterioration e.g. no new problems with circulation, ventilation/oxygenation (breathing or mechanical ventilation), kidney function, liver function, bowel function, blood clotting and brain function as far as can be gauged in these very sick patients often heavily sedated.
Critical but stable can also apply to younger patients.

Hes only 53 and 2 years older than me. Has stage 3 colon cancer. Stage 4 is the worst. Had surgery 2 weeks ago. When he got home from the hospital a few days later he had a series of blood clots. Than he was home again for a couple days and things got worse. Last 4 days now in a Seattle hospital. Rough on my parents and myself and I have 1 younger brother. All we can do is pray. Thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear this sunshine, all the best, and if it's his time may he not suffer.

get answers from the doc. Someone has to be the 'question' guy. Clarification as to prognosis, complications, treatment ,medications...etc

  • The 5-year relative survival rate for stage IIIA colon cancers is about 89%. For stage IIIB cancers the survival rate is about 69%, and for stage IIIC cancers the survival rate is about 53%.

Have him switch to a whole food diet. Get rid of the meat, dairy and processed foods. Look into getting him some fully infused cannabis oil as well.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your brother, and your family! Lost my bother-in-law last year after a 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only 48. He and my sister were married 20 years to the day he died, leaving behind 3 amazing kids. His struggle was long, hard fought, and courageous. The pain and suffering both he and the family suffered is something you wish nobody should ever have to endure.

Fuck off you clown. Quit pushing your dietary choices on us.

Eat all the meat and dairy you want.

You're such a douche.

Because I offered a suggestion to help? And didn't just give some generic response like "sorry to hear" "my thoughts and prayers". Everyone of your comments directed at me is an insult, love it ;)
