My thoughts.

The Bears made a huge mistake taking Trubisky.

I like Barnett to Philli. Perfect guy for that city.

Love Adams out of LSU. Great pick by the JETS.

How can you not like what Lynch did for SF? Now the guys have to perform.

Peppers to the Browns? Not a shock. They always suck in the draft but maybe he'll be good.

Watson to the Texans I love. Good QB coach for a proven winner. Great spot for him.

Mahomes scored. He doesn't have to play right away. Will he be good? Who knows but he's a competitor.

And of course I love what my Seahawks did. Traded out of the 1st round. Day 2 will be huge with 2 2nd round and 4 3rd round picks.

It all means nothing until they get on the field and play. No draft pick is bad right now.

such a Patriot thing to do :)

and Patriots get the steal of the draft, Cooks in the 32nd spot

"at the end of the day", I really have no idea who should go where, not sure the professionals do either (with a few obvious exceptions). That's why trading down makes a lot of sense.

Supposedly this LB the Falcons got is a bad mofo. He is super thuggy with only about a handful of brain cells. If he can play D thats all I care. Just embarrassing how he acted tho.

i predicted correctly that the Steelers would make a huge reach for a DE or pass rushing OLB and they did. Never seen an organization get so stuck on a position to draft EVERY YEAR and end up with a player they could have gotten in the 2nd round. We stack a roster of rapists, bongheads, and wife beaters and decide to draft for CHARACTER in 2017 instead of a guy like Foster that would instantly replace Lawrence Timmons?

Biggest observation:

No DT's taken and only 2 OL's taken.

You win in the NFL in the trenches.

This tells me there are going to be A LOT of gems in the 2 thru 5 rounds along the LOS.

I expect to see a bunch of DT's and OL's go in the 2nd and 3rd round, and most will be steals. It's "sexy" to land a RB, WR, QB....but a lot of these positions can easily be filled in later rounds.

I'm also surprised at the RB position. There's been a few drafts w/ zero or one RB taken in the 1st round. We'll also see a few taken in the 2nd round (w/ Cook and Mixon, likely).

Some of these teams that gambled in the first round can solidify their drafts if they land a solid lineman on Day 2.

love to see the Packers take Mixon as this would be the perfect spot for him IMO

Good thing Tampa Bay had OJ Howard slip to them at #19 in the1st rd, because the rest of their 2017 draft blows balls!

Sick of this team not being aggressive in drafts.

Last time they traded up was long ago when they moved up to the end of the 1st round & landed HOF'er Derrick Brooks.

They needed a rb & cb or safety badly & they could have made an effort traded up in the 2nd rd to grab Dalvin Cook, Kevin King, or Budda Baker.
