Dave Bliss is a huge piece of shit

Last night I watched "Disgraced" on Showtime on Demand. It's a documentary about the murder of Patrick Dennehy, and the cover up by Bliss. I remember it happening and remember thinking this guy was a huge scumbag, but it's way worse than I ever knew. It's difficult to explain everything, you'll just have to watch it. This guy probably never raped little boys, but is just as guilty as Sandusky, in terms of being a completely phony, lying piece of shit. It's appalling that he has fooled a lot of people into buying his pretend redemption story, writing a book about his faith and coaching at a Christian college now.

Excellent documentary. Disturbing at all levels, and I still have no fucking idea what the full story is on Dennehy's murder. Interesting that at the end of it, the convicted guy's attorney said that if Baylor doesn't revisit this publicly and wants to try to wash it out of memory, the past will catch up with them. And now look at Baylor......another huge unforgivable scandal and cover-up.

Oh, and what do you know......I just googled this asshole and see that he resigned in April following the release of this documentary. I guess he'll repent again and write another book telling how his first book was complete bullshit, but that he's serious this time around.

Some of the blood is on Bliss' hands for this murder. If he had taken the threats seriously and kicked this guy off the team and gotten the police involved, then the mentally ill kid that committed the murders would have never had a gun in his hands. But he didn't want to go to the police to protect a kid from serious threats that involved guns, because it would have exposed him for paying Dennehy under the table, since theft of cash from Dennehy was part of the threats. So not only did he make up shit about Dennehy being a drug dealer after he was dead, he's partly responsible for the kid being murdered in the first place.

Fuck, I'm gonna be pissed for a long time about this.

Bliss is a steaming pile but I wouldn't go as far as to say he's somewhat responsible for the man's murder. The person responsible for the murder is the man that committed the murder and sitting in jail for that murder still today. Was Bliss negligent? Sure. Responsible for murder? Not really.
