I really think Maddon is a very good manager. But, why does he continue to use Schwarber in the leadoff position? I know this question has been asked before a few weeks ago and most agreed he was not leadoff material. But since he is still batting in that position there has to be some reason.... hell only the pitcher has a worse BA in their lineup tonight.

Well, hell. He hit a double in the 2nd at bat tonight.... maybe that is what they are waiting for.

His stereotypical leadoff hitter often bats 9th. Theory to baseball nowadays is a strong OBP for leadoff, speed not a requirement unless your Dusty Baker. Schwarbs having a slow start, but you want as many at bats as possible for your best hitters. He should be fine in the long run from a traditional numbers stand point.
