Isaiah Thomas hasn't been himself lately, and may not bounce back in time to help his team reach the Finals.

The Celtics could be without their leading scorer for the remainder of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavs if the star point guard is unable to recover from a sore right hip that forced him out of the team's brutal Game 2 loss on Friday.

According to The Vertical, Thomas is dealing with a "significant" hip injury and his status for Game 3 in Cleveland on Sunday remains unknown. He initially suffered the injury in the Game 6 loss to the Wizards in team's the second-round series on May 12 and seemingly aggravated it Friday. He did not return after exiting at halftime, as the Celtics were already down 41 points in the eventual 130-86 loss. Thomas went 0-6 in shooting before leaving.

Thomas is scheduled to undergo additional tests Saturday and will be re-evaluated before the team determines his status for Sunday's matchup.
Boston has fallen into a 2-0 hole in the series after back-to-back blowout losses to Cleveland and faces an uphill battle on the road with or without its top performer.
