it seems that the vaccinations that attempt to inoculate against
multiple diseases in one shot have tremendous controversy
concerning their potential side effects. there is a great documentary
regarding this, their problems, and the potential coverup of the
problems by the CDC (center for disease control). i strongly
suggest you watch it.

The positives of getting vaccinated far outweigh the negatives of too much Mercury exposure. We've known about the "possible" link between thimerisol and autism for over 25 years now and the vaccines nowadays have less Mercury and some are thimerisol free.

Theres really no reason for people not to have their kids vaccinated unless they are just green purist natural whackos , and hopefully those people home school their kids so they don't infect others.

I suppose vaccinations are better than a vegan diet, at least the medical profession espouses vaccinations

Although I don't buy into the government making parenting decisions arguments

Nor do I believe people that aren't vaccinated are going to cause epidemics, because there are people that aren't vaccinated that obviously haven't caused epidemics. That's hyperbole to me

Two more questions;

1) if somebody has been vaccinated, doesn't that mean they won't be affected by exposure? if not, what's the point of vaccination again?

2) if you're a advocate for mandatory vaccinations for the good of society, does that mean you're opposed to taking refugees? I have to believe many if not most of them haven't been vaccinated

How do the vaccination requirements affect refugees?

Refugees are not required to comply with the vaccination requirements during the initial medical exam overseas. They must, however, comply when they apply for adjustment of status after they have been admitted to the United States . INS regulations state that refugees applying for adjustment of status at least 1 year after their initial admission are not required to repeat the entire medical examination performed overseas, unless there were medical grounds of inadmissibility (Class A medical conditions) that arose at that time. As a result, refugees generally need only the vaccination sign-off (not the whole medical exam) when they apply for adjustment of status. This vaccination sign-off must be obtained by an INS-designated civil surgeon. For information on finding an INS-designated civil surgeon, see “Designated Civil Surgeons.”

---------------------------------------

so there is a mandatory vaccination program for refugees, but it's not mandatory until they're in the States and they ask for "adjustment status" after arriving here.

I'm not even sure what that means
