979 ATL (+110) Westgate vs 980 ANA Analysis: If the Angels can't hit in Miami or Tampa, they're not likely to hit after a cross-country flightwith a used and abused bullpen. As you guys know I love to fade Nolasco (yes, I am sure he flew home early) because he's SUCH a flyball pitcher it isn't funny. Even Atlanta will hit him, and he's right handed with keeps Matt Adams in play. The Angels have lost his last five starts, and he's allowed two (or more) home runs in four of those five games. Atlanta with a DH will just keep that streak going. No Freeman, no problem - he'd actually seen plenty of Nolasco and didn't fare well. Teheran allowed three hits on four runs to the Pirates in his last outing - NONE of them earned. In fact, that's the fourth game this season he hasn't allowed an earned run. Over the last three years he's allowed RHH's to hiát ,214 against him, and of course we'd be concerned about Trout and Pujols. He typically starts breaking down a bit in mid-June, and we aren't there yet. We're getting an even better price after the Braves lost at SF pretty badly - but that's a far shorter flight than Miami is for the Halos. Bad spot for them, and in fact I went back to the beginning of the season and they won their first "first game back," and have LOST every one since. This is a total public misconception here - and hopefully the PDA (public disaster of the day). More on other stuff when the other stuff settles. And add this - Trout is perhaps going on the DL with a sprained thumb in Sunday's game.Anyone getting just Monday - I bet this one, too:
