guys I dont use electronic bill pay, I dont use a checkbook,, I get cashiers checks when im at the counter cashing my checks,,, whenever my bills come in,,,

I dont want any computer dipping into my dam account,,, I will pay you when im good and godamready..

sooooo I am asked frequently, "which would you like?? a MO?? or a cashier chekc??" and I will ask periodically, "whats the difference?? " and they say,, "well,, they are the same thing,, "

sigh,, well those mother fukkers are NOT the same thing,, lol,,

so I had a check cut for some plumbing work I had done at my salon, 800.00 , and I mailed it,, 10 miles away,, aaaaand,,, it got lost in the mail,, llol

now this has never happened, in 15 + years of doing my bills this way, this has never happened,, ok, fine,,, well, I do save my receipts,, so I stroll into my bank,,, blah blah,,, lost check,, blah blah,, cancel it please reissue another please,,

um,,, yes, Tate, were unable to do that,, lol,, we must hold those funds for 90 days or until SAID check is found..

WHY? I dont know,, that is the policy,,

If you had purchased a MO, we could cancel check and return funds in 3 days,,,

WHY??? I dont know,, that is the policy,,

fkn dikheads,, once the godam check is blocked its blocked,,, WTF>??

oh well,, soooo,, come end of august, i will receive a 0% interest CD

Ran into a similar situation some years back over a lot more money. It was a cashiers check that got "lost" on its way to me. Even though it was made to me I was told anyone could cash it if found. Unreal. Had to get a bond and wait 90 days. It was hell.

Set up everything on auto pay and/or bill pay. Greatest thing ever. Nothing is ever late, nothing is lost. If it ever is, bank, or credit card takes responsibility.
