I'm on Astros too, but a normal bet, and mostly just riding the win streak. If they hadn't won 10 in a row it would probably be at least a -110 line from both sides, so "value" in on the Royals +$ right now...but still nothing to hate about the Astros IMO.

Fiers gives up his share of longballs, but has actually fared better against lefties than righties this year. Royals aren't the biggest HR hitting team and hopefully they aren't paying attention (like Ned Yost usually does) and just loads lineup with their standard lefties.
Kennedy's been getting rocked most of the year, but he's historically a better pitcher than that.

Again, i'm on Stros too and will be until they lose one. GL to us.

Agree with Chugs, Rule No. 1 is to never bet against a streak, always swim with the flow. That being said, the pitching match-up is gonna make things interesting, and again, Chugs states a "normal" bet which is damn good $$ management, as much as ya want to keep betting the farm on the Stros. Fiers has a 5.06 LT ERA against KC, allowing 12 runs over 21 and a third innings over this and the past two seasons. The Stros are 1-3 in those games. Kennedy, on the other hand, has allowed an eye-popping 3 runs to the Stros, dating back to 2010, over the course of 26 and 2/3 innings, for a 1.01 LT ERA against the Stros and KC won two contests last season and Zona two when he was with the Snakes. Personally, this probably is a lot of "noise," gotta go with the hot hand. GL

Years ago I read some book that a former oddsmaker came out with. Had some good info, but something that stuck out was he mentioned if a heavy road favorite was priced at -130-140 and you felt it should be a higher line, the odds maker believes the home pitcher underdog will have a strong performance. In other words, Kennedy should have a good game against the Stros and should be a close game.

The line is about right. You have Fiers on the road with his 5+ ERA and WHIP of 1.5. No way he will be priced, or should be, any higher than the current line. His highest price on the road TY is -115, so -135 or so is paying a premium.

I'm on Houston, I have a few angles on them. But I don't love them and its just a normal play for me. Public is also hammering them which I don't care for either.

Interesting point and if that's the angle, maybe it's worth playing then under. Line has now moved from 9 to 10.

Under is nice play. Kennedy has over a 5 era but only a 1.22 whip. Vs the Astros he is 4-0 with a 1.05 whip

If you ride a streak you can only lose once....try and buck a streak you can only win once. Astros -145 finally up. High for Paulino but only going to get higher probably as everyone rides the wave.

Yeah, but very, very few instances where you buck a streak, at least what I was taught and I've had more than one beer with more than one book, lol.

That's what I mean...I would rather have opportunities at multiple wins and only lose once than an opportunity at multiple losses with only one win.

My bad, had something else going on "upstairs," but yes, know what you mean. As far as I was taught, bases only sport to live by the streak since there are no "lines" to even the playing field, and whether anyone wants to admit it, history repeats itself more in bases than any other sport. Whole lotta shit makes bases the easiest sport to make money, not enough time or space here to regurgitate it all, lol. GL Chugs, not even half way there yet.
