    Crypto held up today (knock on wood) despite overall market downturn.

    Binance down to system upgrades and once they are back up and running trades are 70% off for the next 14 days to compensate for down time.

    How about this blockchain sportsbook and casino

    called zero edge.

    no juice whatsoever on sportsbets or the casino.

    If something like this catches on it could be the end of sportsbooks

    How do you make a casino game 0 juice? You would have to alter the rules of the game or something.

    It isn't like sports betting where you just eliminate the juice.

    That would be the only way.
    It would be easy to do if they wanted .

    Make the deal stand on 16

    On roulette remove the green slots .

    Slot machines would be very simple to make it 100% fair.

    But blockchain is absolutely perfect for sportsbetting.

    I don’t know if zero edge is gonna be the one but it’s gonna happen sooner or later

    Been trying to dollar average all the way down. The top 100 BTC wallets are adding to their stack still.

    Condolences for anyone who lost some NANO on Bitgrail - this should be a warning for everyone long term holding to keep your coins on a wallet safely on your computer/usb/ledger/paper. There are plenty of tutorials for each project on how to do so.

    Wagerr another coin for sports betting .. If you own 25,000 of them you can run your own masternode.. I thought about it , you’d make a killing eventually, but running / setting up something like a master nodes goes way beyond me

    Adoption for something like that would take time, even when Pinnacle was around people still used other books.

    But it’s such an easy application of the block chain that I can’t see it not happening. Most of the articles focus on the trust/transparency stuff which isn’t really what would be the main driver of it. Most people feel secure when betting. The main advantage is obviously cutting the middleman out and reducing juice. Possibly could be regulated out of existence with enough support to do so though.

    Given this is a gambling board, surprised none of us brought it up until now.

    bloody hell, took me awhile to re-find this beauty;

    Australian pole dancer;

    'as long as you're calm and you don't let emotions run you when you're dealing with any sort of cryptocurrency, particularly Bitcoin, then you're safe'

    I heard she landed a position at Deutsche bank.

    wtf has happened to these cryptos? read India pulled the plug, as have various CC companies. looks like the big players chart's re-set at 7;30pm est?

    this is big, i suppose..

    OMERS expands cryptocurrency presence with $50-million Ethereum public company offering

    Ontario pension giant OMERS is pushing further into the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency business through the creation of an Ethereum-focused public company that is planning to raise $50-million.
    The pension fund, the first in Canada to invest sizeable amounts into Canada's technology sector following the 2008-09 recession, has already made a handful of small bets on crytocurrency– or blockchain-related companies. Its latest move is an attempt to build a meaningful business around a platform known as Ethereum, which was invented by Canadian Vitalik Buterin.
    The company it is backing will be called Ethereum Capital, and is being partly financed by Purpose Investments, a fund management firm led by industry veteran Som Seif and partially owned by OMERS. Mr. Seif will be chairman and co-chief investment officer of Ethereum Capital, which is aiming to raise $50-million from investors and become a public company through a reverse takeover of a TSX Venture shell company.

    "We believe in the long-term future of the blockchain as the technology that will be underpinning business and we are optimistic about the technologies associated with it," said John Ruffolo, executive managing director of OMERS' platform investments arm, who will join the startup's board. "We believe Ethereum is going to be one of the foundational building blocks" in the blockchain space.
    Ethereum is a blockchain platform used for applications and facilitating transactions across the internet without an intermediary. Ether is the system's unit of payment. Ethereum has emerged as the technology of choice for digital token creators, fuelling the boom for initial coin offerings. The system has also been given credibility by the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, a group of blockchain supporters including Mastercard, Microsoft, J.P. Morgan and Bank of Nova Scotia.

    thought i'd share.....had a conversation with a chap that is a big player at Walmart Canada. Good guy, humble chap, know him through minor hockey- coach his boy, a SOLID dee. Anyway, the last 12 months or so he's been MIA, rarely see him at the games- lots of travel. He's headed Walmart openings in S Africa, Japan, China and India. Here's what he had to say, paraphrasing;

    S Africa- not a nice place to live, too much violence. He helped two people immigrant to Canada, they wanted out
    India- MASSIVE growth, but a huge separation between the have and have nots. Govt is corrupt, had to wait an extended period to get permits and what not , wanted bribes, Walmart dosnt play that way. Slow, inefficient

    China- off the charts growth. They are 'way way more technologically advanced than N America'. yikes. They get things done- you want XYZ made by Sept in blue with red trim? it gets done. Their factories are massive. Cities make Toronto look like a small town (u kidding, Shanghai's pop is just below all of Canada). Like India, large separation between have and have nots. Don't fuck with their regulatory bodies or they jail you, lol......(didn't know they had regulatory bodies...)

    Everything trending up and I missed out on great buying opportunity..

    Now stuck if I should bother to buy in now or wait for another drop to get in...
    Does not seem worth it to get in now.

    It takes so damn long to get everything all set up and then transfer money I missed out.
