7 years here as a poster. When I first got on the internet I had my identity stolen, and had thousands of dollars stolen from my bank account took forever to sort it out. Been following therx for a long time though, since early 2000's. I was afraid to sign up at any forum or any other internet stuff, until 2010 because of that. Didn't even have a facebook until 2011. The RX was the first sports betting forum I'd ever followed, heard about it in Stanford Wong's book "Sharp Money". I'd moved to Reno in 2005 and that's when I got into betting on sports.
I was in the US when it happened, but I was in my early 20's so I didn't pay attention to bank accounts I just figured my money was there and then my rent check bounced one month, I was like huh? Someone bought a ton of things on the internet using my card over a 6 month period of time and my dumb ass didn't even notice. Yeah I'm German but I was born in the USA, My grandparents came over here from Germany and Norway to North Dakota. I was so scared of the internet for a long time.
Idk but I got my money back, they started with small purchases and then went big.
I started at a forum in the late 90's I think on fatwallet.com that dealt with bonus hunting online casinos.
That forum lead to a private forum for serious +EV hunters for online casinos, and sportsbooks.
That private forum led me to therx... So it's been around 20 years in the forums, time flies.
