My strategy in baseball

Because there are so many games, each day I select the ONE GAME with the most even line for each side (-110 or -115) and where each starter has pitched at least 30 innings. Then I spend two hours handicapping the living hell out of that one game in order to choose a side. Regardless of which team I play, I won't be paying much juice. Sometimes I will select the total for the game instead of the side, but that's rare.

This strategy works for me.

Today's play is Seattle. (Miranda vs Stroman) I predict Seattle to win this game by a score of 7-1.

I had to break my 30-inning rule today because there were no games with close lines, where each starter has at least 30 innings.

Since you have spent two hours capping can you share some insight on game?

I will do it today, but not in the future. If I start posting my reasons for a play, it generates discussion and eats up too much of my time. I try to treat this as a hobby where I can make a few hundred dollars on each season, without spending all day here. I don't want to get into a bunch of discussion. But I will do it this once.

- San Diego likely without Wil Myers today.
- Lamet is not quite ready to be a starter. He gave up 7 earned runs in his last start.
- Junis gave up 4 earned runs in his last start, but it was against the second-best offense in baseball (HOU)
- Junis only gave up 2 earned runs in his last road start (vs Minny)
- San Diego's bullpen ERA is 7.51 in their last 10 games.
- The Royals are averaging 5 runs per game vs righties during the last 10 games, compared to 4.26 for SDO.
- San Diego is more futile and demoralized than KC.
- San Diego has lost 6 of last 7, giving up double-digit runs in four of those.
- Lorenzo Cain is getting hot for KC.
- San Diego is 3-6 in interleague, KC is 2-2
- my spreadsheet model predicts a score of KC 10-5
- And this was posted two days ago:

GOOD LUCK!

There are other reasons, but those are the top ones. If you read the article I posted, it tells you that there are 11 rookies on San Diego's roster, and the author thinks that many of them do not know how to play yet at the MLB level. San Diego is not focused on winning this year. They are basically training their team for next year. KC just happens to be their training opponent for today.

Another winner yesterday. :103631605

For today's play I'm staying at US Cellular Field and once again taking the White Sox. I think they will win this game by a score of 8-6.
