Saw some pre-hype on it various places.

Getting older so not sure I prefer hardcore rap anymore, but think I could still listen to Jay Z...

Not many can relate to much of what he talks about nowadays. With that said, I'm listening now. I don't like how all of his music is on tidal now because you can't download it and listen to it on the road. Hard copy comes out Friday though. But some of his old shit like underrated classics like "You Must Love Me" are not on Youtube and not available for download anywhere.

At least he dissess Kanye West on this album. Jay's never been a favorite of mine, but I certainly like that. Has a song about apologizing to Beyonce for cheating, disses kanye on a few different songs, admits his mother is a lesbian.

I'm hearing a lot of people saying the "Story of OJ" is one of his greatest songs ever. I did like that one but I don't know about his greatest songs ever

that's crazy. I saw zero hype for this. Honestly didn't even know he was dropping until a few days ago. Saw a lot more for the Kendrick album with "Be Humble".

Hard copy drops with more songs for the Jay album. I swear though for every Jay-z album minus Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt, and Black Album, I usually only like 2-3 songs at most on every other solo album. He has three classic albums, the three I named.

No I.D. did the whole album of this new Jay-Z album though. I love his production so I probably will end up liking more than 2-3 songs here. This album feels like I need to go grab a glass of wine or some shit. Some grown man music

Greatest song Jay-Z ever wrote.." Big Pimpin."

Lol.. for 1, it was filmed in Trinidad, my ex is from there, and was cool seeing it in the video.
2. He has 2 illegitimate kids there from a local girl he was with.. so he pays her hush money.

Otherwise, he's lazy, his hooks are 30 years old,, his voice is literally the worst rap voices in the entire industry. His only relevance to the industry his because he is so powerful, HE HAS TO BE LIKED. Otherwise your blackballed in the Biz.

We've all heard that top 40 song and thot? This suks a dik... but they keep playing it, and tell you it's good so you begin to believe it... that's his shitty Rap I'm speaking too..

His lyrics??? MEH,,,, their ok.. voice terrible.

Young jayz was good with Reasonable Doubt and Vol 1. Like just about every rapper since 2007 he's completely unrelatable. It's cool to have a brag song or 2 but you can't reach past that topic there's no more creativity.

Unrelatable I agree. But, he has adapted better than the majority. No way this is junk. Eminem at 40+ still rapping about getting raped by his step father is junk. I'm not even a big jay-z fan but this ain't junk by any means. You must really hate him. This is his best album since Black Album.

I see jay-z as timeless. This guy has infinite lyrics. But he has been able to adapt to the changing times which is key to staying relevant. People forget he dropped for 7 summers in a row. That's unbelievable.

Plus with what you hear today compared to this lol. This is a breath of fresh air compared to what we hear normally in these times.

I was jus saying to someone he could be. He is the one rapper who could pull that off easily.

The perception of rap is that its some cool hip thing. You have to be young. But 95% of what's being released today is garbage. Every young rapper is whack besides kendrick. I don't care how old you are as long as you are still making quality music who cares. #1,#2, #4, #7,#8,#9,#10 I like.

^^^

So if a rapper still sounds good at age 60 you'd be interested?
