LaVar Ball is up to his old tricks.

Speaking a bunch of nonsense. Tonight, Lonzo Ball made his debut in the NBA Summer League and had a game to forget. He had five points on a 2-of-15 shooting night.

LaVar was quick to point out it was his "worst game ever" but the follow-up was just ridiculous.

LaVar Ball on Lonzo Ball's debut: "His worst game ever... [but] he changed the Lakers' culture."
<time class="dt-updated" datetime="2017-07-08T03:11:47+0000" pubdate="" title="Time posted: 08 Jul 2017, 03:11:47 (UTC)">11:11 PM - 7 Jul 2017</time>

He did what?

Per LaVar, because the arena was packed, the Lakers' culture has completely changed. I'm sorry, but this simply isn't right.

The elder Ball said that "It's not about him being a superstar, it's about him changing the culture. Instead of going to the movies, everyone's coming to watch the Lakers and Big Baller Brand."

Oh sir, you even had to plug Big Baller Brand?

Hopefully Lonzo can bounce back with a strong showing in his second game. That would really make Laker fans happy, instead of seeing LaVar continue this side circus.

If Ball fails in the NBA.The elder Ball could have a life in the WWE....With his mouth and his sons dubbed "The Ball Boys" the sky is the limit.....Could rank up there with The Captain and Blassie

he's not going to turn into a go to scorer
he's supposed to be a modern day jkidd
he's supposed to help turn the team around

people are focused on the wrong things. there's nothing wrong to have high expectations if you're a parent. lavar might put the pressure on his son, but he's there for support when things don't go in the right direction. people are hating on lavar for being vocal about what most parents' probably think inside their own heads when he is on the media speaking from the cuff about what he expects from his son.

Lavarr is winning IMO.

NO other rookie even gets talked about.

His son has target on his back from almost every NBA player IMO because of his dad's yapping.

GL to him, but more people are rooting for failure than success for Ball

But this isn't High School anymore

as a parent I understand wanting your kid to do good, but like someone else said. he's making his Son a Target, and anything he does wrong, the media are going
to drill him for.

IMHO, Just let the kid play Ball !

Watched this kid play a lot last year at UCLA. He is good and understands how to play.
He will not be a big scorer in the NBA, he does not have the tools for it. He will make everyone a better player by getting the ball to them in a position to succeed.
His defense has a long way to go to be good and he seems like he is somewhat soft.

Couple of things:

The LA media will be giving him a lot of leeway and will not rip him as he is popular out there.

The dad should be teaching a marketing class as he knows how to get free pub. and keep his kid in the spotlight.

Lonzo Ball has a triple-double of 11′s, getting there with a dunk to give him 11 points with 11 boards and 11 assists.
