can't really tell by the comps because there's nothing like this model
the fact that they keep dropping the price shows they want to sell.

Death has no age, so as long as it wasn't a Murder, who cares.
51 years old is young, so if she had kids and they are the ones selling, they are probably in their late 20's, early 30's
They don't want this retirement home

Offer $120K and call it a day

A long time ago I was looking for a house and an agent wanted to show me one on a lake but told me the owner had hanged himself in the master bedroom. I told him "absolutely don't show me this home please."

I feel weird about that kind of stuff.

Under those circumstances okay then I care. Natural death, no problem.

Whenever I've gone looking for a house my first question is always asking if somebody died in it. If they have I move on. Not taking any chances with the boogie woogie business in the middle of the night.

if anyone believes in evolution or no afterlife.... does it make sense for them to have a fear of this?
even if it was a brutal bloody murder?

I would have no problem with it, I suspect there are other variables in play

Maybe it was overpriced, maybe people don't like the layout, maybe there's something unattractive about that exact location or maybe it's just bad timing

Agree, I'd send them a nice low offer. People have died all over where ever we are. Looks like a great place to hang out, rent, Airbnb, don't know the area but most likely will just go up in value. Very sweet if you can pay cash.

I just picked up a good job because someone committed suicide in the living room. The other 2 contractors refused to do the job when they found out.

It looks like they will pack these houses in, and that their will be plenty of space to buy. Why aren't the other lots selling?

If the price was right, it could have been Jeffrey Dahmers house and I would buy it.

Still available when others with higher price per sq ft have sold...This is a nice house that was barely lived in and it cannot sell for less than almost 40k of original purchase price...How low will it go? I have visited community 100's of times over the last 4 years and have missed out on several deals...But this is the best, but cannot get over the death part...

it doesn't matter whether the death bothers you or not. the fact is that
certain types of events affect other buyers desire to buy that house.
what that means to you is that you should be able to buy that home
at a lower price than normal due to reduced demand/competition.
after an extended period of time, the home's value is likely to revert
closer to market value which could be a windfall for you.

3 weeks later and still nothing. I said back then offer $120K, now I would go in and offer $110K, worst case they take $115K
tell them the low ball price is your Fear Factor, and that you're not sure if you will move your family in right away.
Then Flip it, and make like $30K

A guy committed suicide at the house across the street from me about 10-12 years ago , since then a single woman and 2 families have lived there. The woman had a terrible accident and fell down the stairs getting seriously injured and the 2 families were there less than 3 years each and ended in divorce.

I know it's just coincidence but there's some bad mojo on that house.
