My opinion and welcome yours.

Leach is a winner who is not afraid of a challenge. Hell, he was 84-43 (47-33 Big 12) at Texas Tech. Have you ever been to Lubbock, Texas? Doubt you go back for a second vacation. He moves to Washington State almost off the map in Washington and rebuilds a program that had been terrible for years. The past two years he is 13-5 in Pac-12 play. (Coach of the Year 2015)

He makes $2.5 at WSU...Ole Miss could offer much more. He is only 56 years old and would offer Ole Miss someone used to major challenges.

Leach is a little different...but that's what the program needs right now. He would bring excitement for a school that needs it right now. Hire the man after this season and the Rebels will be competitive in a short period of time.

My take an welcome who you think would be a future coach for the REBS?

That's fine for them to go after Leach, but Leach sure as hell isn't going there. That situation isn't much different from the Baylor situation, meaning Ole Miss will be lucky to hire a guy out of the MAC.

Leach won co-coach of the year in the Pac along with David Shaw 2 years ago.
They jacked up his pay and extended his contract through 2020.
His buyout won't be very cheap.

Known for some prolific pass happy offenses, and has a knack for getting quarterbacks who fit his system and make it thrive. Don't know about the defense - or if he just tries to outscore the opponent in a 'shootout'? (Yeah - I get it - everybody tries to outscore the opponent!)

Read somewhere (RebelGrove I think) where Les Miles has let some big money boosters at Ole Miss
know he is interested in the job.

Personally I like Miles, but I'm not sure he would be a good fit under the circumstances.

Why would a highly regarded coach like Mike Leach want to leave Wazzu for a blatantly corrupt SEC 3rd tier outfit like Ole miss?

OK...I'll bite there Jerk.

$5 million per year.
Rebuild a program in need of leadership.
Prettiest campus in college football. (my opinion)
Compete in the best conference in football.

I don't have a clue if Ole Miss would be interested in Leach.

But they should in my opinion.........

Have you ever even seen the wild salmon country in the Northwest Clover... or breathed mountain air?

By the way, a side note about WSU this season. They return damn near every starter
and what was a gritty team comprised mostly of freshmen and sophomores last year
now sports mostly sophomores and juniors. Then there's Luke Falk. Will he have another
5000 yard season or not? Bombs away.

Yes I have. I have visited every state other than Alaska and north of Boston. I love Idaho and Colorado and have spent many vacations in those two states. Sun Valley, Idaho is beautiful in the summer or winner...just hell to get to. Love Vail, Colorado and have been there many, many times.

Yep, your on top of it out there as usual Mr. C. WSU has a chance to be pretty good this season. New and nice facilities are a PLUS for the Cougs.

If Matt Luke can win 5 or more games my money is they hire him full-time. The guy is all Ole Miss and if he hires the right staff can have success there (and success at Ole Miss is anything from 6-6 to 8-4......and if you manage a 9-3 season here and there even better....and beat Miss State 51% of the time).

Coach, I would give Luke zero chance of being the 2018 head Reb at Ole Miss.

The University has had a taste of success under Freeze and will be willing to pay for
someone to right the ship.

Who? Don't have a clue but you better believe a Manning will have strong input.

Agreed!! He's the hands down favorite. I can't imagine a big time coach going there without knowing what the NCAA will hit them with later this year, although I do wish a guy like Kiffen would be offered the job.
