They're dropping like flies! Every year as fall camp approaches injury, criminal activity or DUI will cause loss of key personnel. Keeping an eye on the attrition and ability level of the replacements is one of the major challenges this time of year.

Saban had a guy busted with drugs and a stolen gun last year and didn't miss anytime. Blamed it on biased lsu cops. Doubt this guy misses anything more than a water break.

Kids a starter and they play FSU. Almost zero chance he misses a snap

Nothing to see here.

Funny, Finebaum laid into Saban (again) about this topic (and his lax discipline).

This will be "handled internally" and don't expect any sort of suspension.

On that note, don't expect Florida WR Antonio Callaway to miss the Michigan game either (after his weed arrest this summer).

Anyone under Saban who breaks ANY rules does not receive "Lax Discipline."

He give's them what it take to get back to playing. They do it or they won't play.

Saban looks at it as helping the player help himself.

He will sit out one play. Saben knows it's all about winning

He won't sit period if he carries out his responsibilities to the police, community and team. If he does not chose to do what's necessary to play....he won't play.

Winning for the player...YEAH. Winning for the team...YEAH. It's all up to the player!

Sounds like the guy was in a parked car, on the passenger side of the car, with the AC running, which wouldn't "technically" put him behind the wheel. Honestly, if the guy was truly lit up, I'd rather have the guy in a parked car with the AC going sleeping it off than being on the road trying to drive home. And agree with the comments above about taking care of responsibilities to the police, community, and the the strength and conditioning coach. I'm pretty sure they became best friends first couple days of camp.

But count me as one who was glad the guy was not driving and pulled over.

with all the free cars they give out at bama you'd think they would provide some uber money.

In all seriousness I don't think what Hand did here was that bad but lets not pretend like Saban rules the punishment aspect of the football program with an iron fist. Here is the cliff notes version: you're a starter, no punishment. You never see the field, you're off the team
