Ok, so I haven't had much experience with the ganja. I smoked it for the first time in my mid twenties and only did it probably 12-15 times in my life until recently. I was glad I had experienced it, but decided it wasn't for me. However, I've had so much trouble with insomnia ever since high school that I'm always reaching for something to help me sleep. I did the ambien thing for a few years, but once I started taking 2 a night, after a week, I said fuck this shit. It never really helped all that much with sleep, but I did trip balls a few times and hallucinate, and it was better than nothing for sleep. Xanax works like a charm if you take 2 mg, but that's a massive dose. I have a prescription for it, but I know you have to be very careful and only take it once a week or so.

But......I recently spent time in CO and went to a dispensary and got some indica edibles. They are the best thing ever. You get high, but no weird thoughts, mostly just peace and sleepiness, and then you pass the fuck out immediately and wake up after 7-8 hours feeling like a million bucks. I went "duh" inside because of course it's now obvious why the pharma racket crooks want this stuff to be illegal.

Just wondering what is the best way to use marijuana for sleep? Do you guys smoke it or eat it? What is the best strand for sleep?

I hate sativa.....I mean it's okay once in a great while to have your subconscious mind come to the forefront and ponder about life and the world and reality, but it does nothing buy flood my mind with alternate reality thoughts and increased anxiety. It's the complete opposite of indica, which is heavenly.

Eating edibles doesn't really fuck me up unless I smoke with it. I'm a complete veteran though.

Best sleeping strains is really anything Indica like you mentioned.

Anything purple for the most part will put you down. Not sure where you are from but Colorado has recreational and medicinal. I personally can't fuck with that recreational shit. Once you hit it, it burns your throat. The way they grow it is different than the medical. Different soil or some shit I forget.

Anything OG is almost always indica or hybrid.

Fire OG one of my favorite indica dominate hybrid strains ever. Knock out. Strong.

Also, Animal Cookies. Girl scout cookies. Both high indica strains with high CBD. Makes you feel relaxed and the opposite of what sativas can do for you.

Only reason this is becoming legal is because the people pushed for it. It took over a decade. If pharmaceutical companies really wanted it to happen it would have been legal everywhere within 3 years. Government knows pharmaceutical industry will decline once pot industry really takes off.

With full respect to my fellow RxForum cannabis consumers and my own 43 years of happy use your best info can be found by consulting with one or more legal cannabis sellers. You can likely have any questions answered with a phone call since information is not illegal (smile).

Legal dealers could further direct you on specific brands and labels to be easily purchased on your next trip to CO, WA, OR or CA

Shipping yourself relatively lightweight packages to a trusted address in your hometown is pretty darn simple and the risks are amazingly minimal.

Product review: Berry White
100% indica but doesn't really feel like it. With Berry White, you get a berry berry big boner and the desire that you had forgotten about since age 19. We're talking viagra and testosterone therapy all in one dose. Don't eat if you're primarily interested in ambien like medicine, because the sativa like high lasts too long unless you smoke it.
Recommended use: smoke 90 minutes before bed with your wife and go back in time to your teen years when you saw a boob on tv and your breathing became heavy and you just got euphorically excited. Enjoy your wife and then when it starts wearing off, crash like a longhorn that just got shot in the head.
Rating: insanely great

I would hate having insomnia. Have never ever had a problem falling asleep. Head on the pillow and I'm gone.

Guess weed would do the trick? Probably feel better than alcohol.
It definitely has medicinal benefits of many kinds. I don't like alcohol much and rarely drink. But this last strand I tried is amazing for sexual function and desire. Wow.

CBD is the future.

Shit works for pain management, anxiety, depression, sexual function, insomnia, ADHD, appetite problems, Parkinson's, and the list goes on and on.

And you have hillbilly retards like Jeff Sessions and ck who want to see it wiped off the face of the Earth.

Who wins in that scenario? Big pharma.
Who loses? The American public.

It's astounding.

Pretty common for sativa to exacerbate your anxiety. Indica is way better for sleep.

Find a 1:1 indica strain

That's 1 part CBD to 1 part THC

It will help with sleep and leave you clear-headed.

Gorilla glue is waiting for me. Will try it in the coming weeks. GSC also one of my favorites.

I'm chiefing on this San Franando valley og currently. It's about 70 indica/30 sativa. Trichomes poking out. The stems are even frosty. And this Kingston confidential (hybrid). But this SFV is a solid indica dominate.

You're joking right? I'm saying the American public would lose out if legalization efforts stalled or reversed.

We can start with the over-prescription of opioids for pain management. Or SSRI's for depression/anxiety, Ambien for insomnia, pills for ADHD or PTSD.

Pharmaceuticals are being jammed down our throats when a FAR less harmful and cheaper alternative is readily available.

You're the conspiracy theorist. Why do you think that is?

I didn't even touch on the experimental CBD treatments for things like Parkinson's, epilepsy, and various mental illnesses. All of which we'd lose out on.

Or the revenue benefits of recreational legalization of a drug that is immeasurably safer to both individual and society than alcohol.
