ive played a handful of times and know the basics and i might be heading down to foxwoods saturday night and i was thinking about making the following bet when i have the dice bc i like to load up the table when they are in my hands.

so im gonna establish the point and take odds on that, then i like to place the table min ($10) on the other 5 numbers, but to get some more action i was gonna make a come bet and ill take odds on that. say the come bet is a 6 ill have odds on that but ill also have my place bet on the 6 from my 1st throw assuming its not a 6. if i throw a 6 ill get paid odds on my come bet and ill also get paid out on my place bet right? this is ok to do correct?

Yes being the come out roll is independent of the original, this is good to go.

yeah they'll do it for you but i feel this strategy is a terrible idea if you are buying all the numbers already. you don't get any odds unless you pay come w/ odds which is essentially another place bet. i don't see why you would want to put money on the table with lower odds. just put more on the place bet when it hits aka keep pressing your place bet until you're satisfied with your return

I don't know what your bankroll is, but tread with caution. This is an easy way to go broke in less than 60 seconds. There's obviously no guaranteed winning strategy in craps, but here are a few suggestions:

For all suggestions, establish the point and lay odds on your pass line bet.

1. Buy the 4 and 10 for $20 each. Every time either one hits you get 2:1 on your money (minus $1). Hit one and you're freerolling.

2. Place a min bet on the 5, 6, and 8 (forget the 6 or 8 if the point is 6 or 8). Every time three non-field bets get rolled in a row, place a field bet.

Above all else - have fun and tip your dealers. Good luck.

Don't walk up to the table with a plan. Relax, bet small, take it easy and observe. Most rolls suck, the trick is staying around long enough to hit that good roll.

I like to see if there's any particular trend, then try to take advantage of that trend.

Shit happens, listen to your intuition

Not a fan if this way of playing, but I've seen it done.
But when they play the come and it hits, they take down that bet.

For me, I am always on the 5,6,8 and 9 unless one of those is the point.
I will at times buy a 4 or 10 if the point is one of them. ( meaning if the point is 4, i'll buy the 10 )
I also will make a bet on a 4 or 10 if one of my main number above is the point.
and Max Odds behind the pass line ALWAYS

Sounds like a Newby. My friend they are going to love you...lot's of love.

Simple instructions from someone who has been/there done that.

Chart the table before ever placing a bet. Choppy, walk to another casino.
Warm/Hot....pass line with double odds. Got a bankroll...start going through
the come and establish two bets with double odds.

Reverse on a cold table...Bet the Don't and take double odds. Winning and go
through the Don't Come with two bets and take double odds.

ONLY NOVICE, IDIOTS AND LOSERS walk up to a crap table and flop down
their bankroll without some observation before playing. God they LOVE you...
maybe a free meal or room for you.

No offense cloverleaf but if you can time a craps table when it's going to win you would be rolling in money. Each roll is independent of the last, dice don't remember. Casino's love anyone with money, especially those that think they can win long term you included. Gamble what you can afford and have fun and hope to get lucky and win.

My style is to play the pass line (then take max odds) and 2 come bets (with max odds) so i always have 3 numbers with max odds.

If you can find a table that has 3x4x5x odds then even better!!

Been playing this way for 15 years and i win more than i lose.

Best advice in the thread so far. There is no such thing as timing trends or hot/cold dice. The dice have no memory, each roll is independent. It's one of the gambling fallacies.

The great thing about Foxwoods (in CT) is that they allow 10x odds on pass line and come bets. I just like to crush max odds on the pass line and 1 come bet.
