I don't think it is such a bad deal as long as Celtics who have many draft picks, cough a good one up or a couple decent ones. Problem is for me is Jae Crowder is garbage. Overrated defender, streaky shooter. Was better in Dallas. Maybe would be good in Cleveland. Irving has knee issues too plus his departure seems inevitable. But not that those knee issues will matter anytime soon.
They shot for the moon with Porzingis and probably will fall on some stars. I didn't think they were going to be able to find a deal they really liked. But this isn't that bad imo. If it happens.

Long term it favors Boston possibly if IT and Lebron BOTH opt out after this year. And Kyrie will be in Boston for a while my guess. he wanted to resign somewhere. And big basketball town.
But short term. Got to say Cleveland is back to the finals and with a 1st round pick waiting in the wings.....it may just delay Lebrons arrival for L.A. which might make IT resign.

Purely in terms of value that's a great deal for the Cavs. They got much more for Kyrie than the Bulls did for Jimmy Butler (who would be a good comp since both have 2yrs left on deal)
Likely top 3 pick from Brooklyn (who will likely be dealt for an established player if LeBron is staying), Crowder on a very team friendly 3yrs/20mill left on his deal and fits very well with LeBron.
