If I am going to Vegas for a Saturday (getting in at 7:30 AM) and want to post up and bet/watch CFB all day - where should I go? Going Sept 23 and am wondering if any of the sportsbook VIP packages are worth it. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't do a VIP package. Not worth it imo. I like watching games at Westgate and The Mirage.

You can get a room at Westgate right now for $78 night. That's dirt cheap. I stayed there last Super Bowl and the rooms are pretty nice. Especially at that price.

I'm staying at The Mirage this time (get there Friday). Room was $211 a night. Not bad. They have a killer sandwich shop there next to Starbucks. Caked kampezes I think. $15 sandwich, but huge and worth it.

Not the fanciest but if you value drink tickets, cheap but good food and good gambling I'd recommend southpoint

South Point is a must if you have never been......closest thing to the Stardust that Vegas still has. I also like the Stations properties, more specifically Sunset

If you go new school its tough to beat Cosmo's setup.

Wild Wild West fish?

i actually love that spot (still hand write their lines!) but not sure about it for an out of towner with 48 hours unless they are going to go hustle a bj on trop or get a double double at in-n-out lol....they have like 12 chairs and are still rocking low def with snow half the time?

Westgate theatre is open for NFL Sunday...JStack you might want to check that out if you don't want to have to get up early to get a seat somewhere

Thanks, one of my friends wants to place some NBA win total bets so I think we are going to check out Westgate. Our flight gets in at 7 AM so that is the plan for our first stop. Will play it by ear afterwards I think
