waaaa. Mine went out 2 days ago.
Blown circuit board. Won't be fixed until Wednesday.
Condenser and blower fan and thermostat were on different pages.
Only have 1, 5 ton unit for a 2 story 2450 SF house.

friends have a tenant that won't pay rent.


want to cut AC on them, but not damage the unit.

In most units that sit outside a house or an apartment there is a breaker box that is associated with the unit. When a servicemen comes to work on it he pulls the breaker to allow him to work on the unit soo it wont click on. What I am saying is your friend could go and pull the breaker out of the box and take it with him if it is this type of unit you are talking about.

Law only requires heat not ac.

Yup, just yank that disconnect and close it up and lock it that'll do it
