So I see on Craigslist from time to time a help wanted ad saying "Luxury Auto Purchaser"...I can usually figure out the scam when reading the ad but I cannot figure this one out. What is the scam?

I think it's 2 part thing, half Legit and half scam

I believe the reason of the legit part is that you are buying the Car for a company that will then sell it to buyers overseas
making a very good profit.

The scam part I think can be you buy the car and the Overseas buyer changes their mind and now you have a Brand new $100,000 car that you don't need.

I had a client that purchased $50-$80,000 cars here in phx, then drove them to LA... their value was significantly more in cali, for 2 reasons.. every car had SIGNIFICANTLY Less miles then the same typical Cali. Car.. also taxes.. he literally could pay fair wholesale market here and drive to LA, and pick up a check for 1000 bucks... if he could haggle, he could get a 3-8g profit per car...

Anyway, that was the story he told me,

I know somebody that would purchase totaled high end cars, rebuild them and then sell them in the Middle East. Guy was from Lebanon
