I recently lost $300 betting on Floyd Mayweather to win by decision against Conor Mcgregor.

If I won, I would have made $1k which I would have used to bet on more sports. After losing $300 on my first sports bet, I have lost my motivation.

Can you guys share some stories of gambling successes

I had 1200 split between the under 9.5 and and on Mayweather. Won them both... got the under by the skin of my teeth, thought I had lost, but didn't know the rules as I don't bet a lot of boxing. That was the biggest bet I've ever made. The second biggest bet I've ever made $400 on North Dakota at 4-1 to win the NCAA frozen four championship. Won that one too. So a couple of success stories. Most of the time I only bet 100 a game and my long term ROI is below -1%. Good entertainment, cheaper than a movie for me, plus I use the apps in Nevada and earn comps, free rooms, free drinks, free slot play ect. Which makes it plus even for me, all from home. It's like a hobby for me.

IMHO, just keep sports betting a nice small hobby that you helps you enjoy a match more. Bet the amount you can afford and stick to it and if you lose, you lose, if you win, you win. Easier said than done but I think it is the way to go.
