Obviously it's the game of the week, but haven't seen any discussion on this game yet....

I personally played Clemson because I think they have the best Defense (or at least top 3, together with Bama and Georgia) in the country. And after watching Louisville last two games, I think they're regressed at a team. It would take L. Jackson the best game of this life to win.

Would like to hear opinions from many good cappers in here....

not much to add but I agree. Also took Clem -3 based on their D and a good enough offense to control the ball against the Louisville D that has looked mediocre at best against Purdue and North Carolina. I was surprised the line was only 3 but I presume that is the Lamar Jackson factor. But Lamar is going to face the best athletes on D has seen thus far and perhaps for the entire season (FSU in October might be close).

Avid uofl fan here...keep track of all the news and updates for the team...as you know Uofl vs. Clemson has been a rough matchup for the cards the last three years, all very close competitive games, this one should be the same. Lamar is better than last year and has more weapons than last year, people might say well he is their entire offense, we have a young running back Malik Williams who had 150 yards rushing last game and looked very good. Clemson is easily the best defense Uofl has faced, but so was FSU in the third game last year and that game wasnt even close. Lamar has seen defenses that are close to this good before and has been fine, the only concern i have is the youth on the offensive line, which i think bobby will compensate for.

To discuss the defense a little bit, if get jaire alexandar back as corner it completely changes the teams attitude and tenacity (injured early in purdue game, and didnt play against UNC)... i would say that he is worth 10 points in each off those games. Our Defensive coordinator will struggle all year because he is adjusting to a new environment and staff, so dont expect a perfect performance against clemson, but certainly expect their best effort.

I think this line is fair, and ultimately it comes down to...can bobby petrino utalize lamar in the right ways to score against clemson, auburn does not have the weapons uofl has....we will score more than 6 points! This game is huge for the university and the program, our fans are crazy excited and the whole country saw what happened last year on a national stage when gameday was there.

As a fan ill take uofl, as a bettor i would probably take the under rather than the side....i like this to be something 24-21 either way...

thanks

lamar jackson is the story against that clemson defense but the clemson qb on his first real road test is the bigger story to me. lou defense hasnt been great but these primetime games add a new element and motivation. i can see the clemson qb struggling and if he turns the ball over louisville is a solid bet imo. in these types of games i like the home team with the veteran qb.

I agree with you peepee. Clemson's front four threw around Auburn's top rated offensive line around like rag dolls, they will do the same here.
People are all looking at the shiny objects (Jackson) and not paying attention to the fat boys.
L'Ville's offense had huge issues against Houston & LSU. They struggled majorly with Purdue which seems to be an improved team but far from top tier.
Clemson's new QB could conceivably lay an egg but I think he will get the job done here.
L'Ville QB edge, Clemson much better linemen and defense.
I am on Clemson.

Louisville did not impress against NC, it was closer than the final score demonstrated. In the end Jackson took over and ran past NC when NC was worn down. Louisville D is not strong enough at all against a club like Clemson and Clemson will keep the ball away from Louisville.

Louisville has an unheard of 48 penalties for 450 yards in two games. If that kind of lack of discipline continues they're in for a long night.
