Man I really dislike laying -150 on a favorite; this only pays you back 2/3 profit compared to what you plunked down.

A lot sharp money is coming in on San Diego. Why the sharp money? You cannot win if you cannot score. I understand the Padres BP has been shutdown as of late and their SP D. Lamet has really good splits headed into this one. Those are just numbers in a lot of ways when you look deeper into this contest. This young pitcher gives up a lot walks and his past 3 starts are against teams that could not hit a ball off of tee to drive in a run (at that particular time in their schedule).

The Twins look they can hit almost anybody. The sharp money is on the belief that E. Santana will give up 3+ runs and Lamet and the Padres bullpen will pitch shutdown baseball (maybe, who knows). One thing that is really living dangerously if you are following the sharp money is that SP Lamet is issuing free passes. Walks versus teams that can crush the ball are dangerous combination.

I like Minnesota in this contest. I won't be surprised if it is a dog fight, but expect Santana to be very effective after watching SP Gibson do his thing yesterday in commanding fashion.
