Purdue - Michigan

Have been riding Purdue this year. Darrell Hazell did a good job trying to rebuild the program after his success at Kent State, it just did not show up with enough wins and maybe he needed some better offensive minds helping him. Jeff Brohm stepped in with his offensive background and has this team believing in itself. A confident team lacking the respect it feels is deserved could be very dangerous.

I will be on Purdue again this week and would not be surprised with an upset...

Good points and seems like Hazel might have gotten screwed getting fired right before team got good. Brohm is definitely on the up and up and this game should be close. I'll take the 10 at home here.

Honestly, I think Michigan is overrated this year. But, I'm not sure how good Purdue is. I'll take the points and the home dog. Big ten teams in this spot against home dogs of around that 7-13 mark don't seem to cover. Just from my memory anyway Not like in the SEC where they are much more dominant with a couple teams. Michigan 27-23

I came in here lookin' for Confirmation on an UN Play but.....Solid FiveOh now...my enthusiasm is less. If anyonez got any thots tho....I guess I'm asking what level of Confidence Exists in that Boilermaker Defense.....In this spot.

I've been on the Purdue train too. I agree that HC Brohm is a offensive genius. While at W.KY his teams was ripping off 50pts almost every week.
I'd say the transition has been smooth and his offense looks like it's gonna be tough to stop.
Brohm while at W.KY was very dominant In conference play. And I don't mean after a few yrs. he had his team competing at a high level right away.
this is gonna be a big test for Purdue but I think they will be ready. I'm not calling for the upset but I think this game will be very close.
Here another thing about Brohm for future reference. He has a foot on the pedal mentality. I've watched this guy throw the ball while up by 40pts.

michigan looked amazing versus a Florida team with 10 suspended players. I haven't been impressed since that game.
IMO the big ten power houses OSU and Mich don't look like season past versions. I wouldnt be shocked if both teams have a few L's at some point in the season.

I played Purdue +11.

SF 49er couldn't score any TD last 2 games, until last night 5TDs vs a good Wade Phillip led Rams defense.
The point... early season growing pain...good coach adjust and rise up when it matters (ie. conference plays).

Rich Rod use to put up a lot of 50 point games at W. Virginia, but that style didn't help Michigan much when he was there.I'm passing on the game but I like the better defense.

Yes, But they are easily getting to the red zone, so its fixable and once Harbaugh identifies a go to Jake Butt like target (several options)and Speight stops fumbling inside the 5 several of those FGs will turn into TDs .. Purdue has the coach but doesn't have the Dudes to compete with the heavy weights, yet.... Louisville and Mizzo defenses aren't exactly the 85 Bears by any means.
