1-3 in week 2. 1-7 overall. (12.5%). Well that did not go well. I have to get 6 wins and no losses to get back to even. That's an uphill climb. But given my history, I could probably get into a 1-20 hole and still somehow end up even, or darn close, by the end of the season. My point is that I am not all that concerned just yet. So let's jump right in and see if we can snap back into shape in week 3.
NO +6 -So you may be asking why I think is a good pick. Well, for one, it is not their fault that New England came to town all butt hurt because they lost game 1 and had something to prove. Secondly, Carolina has clearly played agianst a couple of crap teams, and it is way to early to crown the Panthers D as league best in my opinion. Also, Graham Gano has scored more points than Cam Newton. It is almost a team that just doesn't quite do enough versus a team that just barely does enough sort of thing. Disregarding the unproven Panthers D, the Saints are 6th overall so far in yards, and 3rd overall in passing yards. I think the 6 will put New Orleans on top no problem.
CLE PK -Do the Browns suck? Yep. Who sucks worse than that? The Colts. With no Andrew Luck, the team is no good. Bold Statement? Perhaps, but Jacoby Brisket is just not what I consider NFL calibre. This is not a story in the making a la Dak Prescott or Ben Roethlisberger, where you lose your QB and the new guy dominates. And on top of that, who else do they have other than Hilton? Now I know what you are thinking, isn't Cleveland just as bad? Well, no, no they are not. Close, but not as bad. Also, they don't have to make a 5 hour drive to go to work this week.
PIT -7 -When I went to take a look at the Bears offensive depth chart, I almost choked on my beer laughing so hard. Did they just make those names up? It is like a who's who of people you have never heard of. Pittsburgh may win ugly, but they win. The important stats all lean towards a Pittsburgh victory, and while the Bears are playing at home, I really don't see them scoring more than 10, and the Steelers are averaging 23.5 so far this season.
I am sticking with just these three this week. See you all at 1-10 hno:.
