Week 4 college football betting nuggets to know

Here is a look at some things to know as you bet the weekend slate of Week 4 college football games.

All lines are courtesy of Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, and all games are on Saturday unless otherwise specified.


NC State Wolfpack at Florida State Seminoles (-12.5, 51.5) - 12 p.m. ET

NC State is 10-2 ATS in its past 12 games against Florida State (teams have played every season during this span).



Texas Tech Red Raiders at Houston Cougars (-6, 71) - 12 p.m. ET

Houston is 6-0 ATS and 6-0 SU in its six games against teams from Power 5 conferences since the start of the 2014 season.



Alabama Crimson Tide (-18.5, 43) at Vanderbilt Commodores - 3:30 p.m. ET

Vanderbilt is 4-0 ATS with three outright wins as a home underdog since the start of last season.

Alabama is 8-1 ATS in its past nine road games (all having come in SEC play).



TCU Horned Frogs at Oklahoma State Cowboys (-13, 71.5) - 3:30 p.m. ETSince Gary Patterson took over as TCU's head coach at the end of the 2000 season, the Horned Frogs are 9-2 ATS with four outright wins as a double-digit underdog.

In the five meetings between these teams since TCU joined the Big 12, the total has gone under four times.



Boston College Eagles at Clemson Tigers (-34, 52.5) - 3:30 p.m. ET

The total has gone over in seven of Clemson's last nine games. The last two meetings between Boston College and Clemson have combined to go over the total by 36.5 points.



USC Trojans (-17, 64.5) at California Golden Bears - 3:30 p.m. ET

California has won outright in each of its past three games as an underdog, with two of those wins coming this season.

USC is 0-2 ATS as a double-digit favorite this season after going 6-0 ATS when favored by 10-plus points in 2016.



Cincinnati Bearcats at Navy Midshipmen (-11.5, 52.5) - 3:30 p.m. ET

In his head coaching career, Luke Fickell's teams are 6-2 ATS with three outright as an underdog. This includes a 2-0 ATS mark in his first season at Cincinnati (in each of past two weeks).



Duke Blue Devils (-2.5, 65.5) at North Carolina Tar Heels - 3:30 p.m. ET

This will mark the first time Duke is favored in Chapel Hill since 1999. The Blue Devils lost 38-0 as 3-point favorites in that game.



Michigan Wolverines (-10, 51.5) at Purdue Boilermakers - 4 p.m. ET

Michigan is 1-6 ATS in its past seven games as double-digit favorite.

The total has gone over in nine of Michigan's past 10 games away from home (road or neutral).



Oklahoma Sooners (-27.5, 63) at Baylor Bears - 6:30 p.m. ET

Oklahoma has covered in seven straight games dating back to last season.

This will mark the biggest home underdog Baylor has been since November 5, 2005 against Texas. In that game, the Bears lost 62-0 as 29-point underdogs to Vince Young and the eventual national champion Longhorns.



Mississippi State Bulldogs at Georgia Bulldogs (-5.5, 48.5) - 7 p.m. ET

The total has gone under in 11 of Georgia's past 12 games against ranked opponents.



San Diego State Aztecs (-3, 47) at Air Force Falcons - 7 p.m. ET

Since the start of the 2014 season, Air Force is 11-4 ATS with eight outright wins as an underdog.



Syracuse Orange at LSU Tigers (-21, 56) - 7 p.m. ET

Since Ed Orgeron took over as head coach last season, LSU is 3-0 ATS with a plus-26 points per game differential in games following a loss.



Penn State Nittany Lions (-13, 52.5) at Iowa Hawkeyes - 7:30 p.m. ET

Since Kirk Ferentz became its head coach in 1999, Iowa is 9-3 ATS with four outright wins as an underdog of at least seven points at home. This includes a 24-23 win as 7.5-point underdogs over No. 3 Penn State in 2008.



Florida Gators (-1.5, 44) at Kentucky Wildcats - 7:30 p.m. ET

Florida has won 30 straight games against Kentucky. In the past 10 meetings, the Gators are 9-1 ATS.



Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-4, 54) at Michigan State Spartans - 8 p.m. ET

Michigan State is 10-3 ATS with seven outright wins as an underdog since the start of the 2013 season. This includes a 2-0 ATS mark with one outright win as a 'dog against Notre Dame during this span.



Washington Huskies (-11.5, 50) at Colorado Buffaloes - 10 p.m. ET

Colorado is 5-1 ATS with three outright wins in its past six games as a 'dog. The one ATS loss during this span came against Washington in the Pac-12 Championship Game last season, as the Buffaloes lost 41-10 as 8.5-point 'dogs.



UCLA Bruins at Stanford Cardinal (-7, 57.5) - 10:30 p.m. ET

Stanford is 8-1 ATS and 9-0 SU in its past nine games against UCLA.
