Man had a bad attack today. Was brushing my teeth and raised my head. Everything started spinning and I felt like I was on a boat in rough seas. It only lasted about 2 mins. I read ear infection issues causes it which I have had in the past

So about a year and a half ago I woke up one morning and out of the blue everything was spinning out of control. I've had too much to drink before, and the room starts to spin - but this was much worse. I had to grab on to things just to make it to the bathroom. Went to the doctor later that day just to make sure I wasn't having a stroke. Whenever I get a bad episode I take dramamine, and it seems to help. Scared the shit out of me.

I had a bout of it maybe 7-8 years ago. I think i went to an E.N.T and it was diagnosed as benign positional vertigo. Was given some head exercises/movements which seemed to solve the issue. Have not had any reoccurrences since. Good luck with it as it is truly an awful feeling.

there are many possibilities that may be causing your problem and the best thing that you can do is make an appointment to see an ENT doctor. i have just finished pt for a vestibular disorder which was making me dizzy almost every time i looked up from my desk to look at the tv in front of me. your problem could be the result of one of many problems so go see a doctor. hope all turns out well for you.

I had vertigo on and off for about a ten month period. I went to an ENT department and they ran a bunch of tests. I have slight hearing loss in one of my ears so they chalked it up to my equilibrium being off. However I didn't feel that was the issue. I was extremely frustrated, as the episodes continued. I went online and found an article stating that drinking large quantities of water as a daily habit helps. I tried it and it worked. I drink at least a gallon of water a day. I haven't had an episode until I slowly tapered of the water about a month ago. I had an episode while driving and realized I hadn't had water since I had woken up, a seven hour period. Try the water it could be just a reaction to dehydration.

I had it one time. Went to many doctors and specialists and, in the end, they didn't know their earholes from their assholes. Bunch of "hypothesizing" doctors, really.

In retrospect I would've searched like crazy on youtube to get real-life experiences from other vertigo sufferers and how they resolved it. I had that resolve an issue where I had some ailment and I got the answer/solution from youtube rather than the doctors who blew smoke up my ass.
