Anybody know what happened to Kojak? Guy was a solid capper. Made a lot of money from his plays.

He left last season after getting fed up with some people here. He was a solid capper and a class act on forums. Hope he is killing it this season.

Here's what happened to me when I paid for Kojaks picks. He sent me way to many picks which he'd separate into 3*, 4*, who loves ya, double who love ya, etc. I thought that was ridiculous and I told him I wasn't comfortable with 20 plus picks a day. (I've dealt with other touts in the past and I never had them picking that many games a day) Kojak said I needed to pick just the ones I liked to which I said was no different than me picking who I liked off the schedule without his help. I never asked for my money back but he voluntarily offered me a refund. After getting losers for two weeks I decided to take the refund. I even said I'd accept a prorated amount. Well first he said he'd send me the refund. After two weeks I contacted him and asked about the refund and he said he had been busy but he'd get it out that week. Guess what still no refund. It got to a point where I said if I didn't get money I'd contact my credit card company and I said I'd also let the people on the RX know how he does business. At that point he threatened to turn matters over to his lawyer, and he said if I notify my credit card company he would tell them I was scamming him. He then told me it was his partner who offered me the refund and he informed me I shouldn't get back anything. (There was never any mention of any partner prior to this) By now it was like six weeks after I started. What made this more unfair is he stopped sending me picks after two weeks when I said I'd take the refund he offered. So now he thought it was fair to keep my money even though I was getting no picks after paying for the full season. I'd have had no problem losing my money if he hadn't offered the refund and had continued sending me the picks.
The end of the story came when I did contact my credit card and told them what had happened after which I was refunded my money. He went from straight shooter to con man really quickly he was downright nasty with me despite me always being polite to him.

agreed. people never seem to learn. by purely following certain people on this site you'll hit similar %'s of even the best "touts". hell there's dozens of tout picks every day in the service play thread!

the only touts I know of, a few from this forum and Seabass who used to be a radio celebrity in Connecticut, seem to suck and have no money and are stiffs

Me and my friends paid touts in the 1980's, the most notable being Jim Fiest. My buddy even paid big bucks for his "Late Steam Service", one pick per day released just a few minutes before the game. They all lost money for us, the late steam went 0-3 and then he offered two more picks for free and lost them both. He continued to offer more free steam, we said no thanks we can't afford your free picks anymore

I believe his steam was the last straw for us, NOTHING and NOBODY won us money. And like the whores that they are, they always try to upgrade your service to get more money.

Nobody should pay for a pick, ever. Plenty of good people around here too. And different people are good at different sports, don't know anybody who's really good across the boards

I remember one guy picked Wyoming over OK St in a bowl game when Barry Sanders played for OK St. I liked OK St, asked him why he was on Wyoming, he said "both teams can score but Wyoming had a much better defense"

I laughed when I hung up the phone and played OK St. Wyoming's defense sucked

I'm telling you, never pay a tout

Kojak was an outstanding handicapper on this board, for a long time. He had some hot streaks that were unbelievable. I followed him closely on and off and sometimes just went with his picks 100%.

He was a good guy, courteous, tried to let us know when picks were coming.

But a handful of jerks ran him off, relentlessly ragged on him, and he left.

IMO the moderators should have suspended or banned them... he was contributing and it was clear they were no class trolls.

So he does some touting... so what? I do not think he is a full time tout but he has some customers (not me).

AND ONE GUY on THIS THREAD trashes him.... well who TF are you? Are you one of the jealous weirdos that harassed him and helped run him off? I am not accusing you but pointing out to everybody that there is no basis for smearing Kojak on this thread based on one guy's post.

(NO I do not know him or pay for his picks and I never-ever-never use a tout... if they had 10 winners would they give them all to me for $99.99?)
