I'm in too but....is it possible we cut the roster spots down a bit. Like...to 2C 2 LW 2 RW 4D 2 G? There's never a big selection on the waiver wire with all those spots to fill.

Just a suggestion.

I'd rather not do the money unless you guys want to play in Canadian funds. I'd prefer if someone held the money in the US if we play in USD

Okay I’ll do it. I think everyone already has my address. Friends and family, USD.

Great, thanks guys.

Bushay--I suggest that before we chop the rosters down, let's see how many teams we have.

We could always do away with the positional requirements and just use Forwards, Defense and Goalies.

If we get 10 guys

10 Forward (Top 100 Forwards Drafted)
5 Defense (Top 50 Defense Drafted)
2 Goalies (Top 20 Goalies Drafted)

If we get 12 Guys

8 Forward (Top 96 Forwards Drafted)
4 Defense (Top 48 Defense Drafted)
2 Goalies (Top 24 Goalies Drafted)

whatever you guys want.

Again, just my opinion, but I don't mind the challenge of needing individual forward positions (C-RW-LW) as opposed to 10 forwards or 8 to simply pop in your lineup. Creates more strategy. Just don't like when one or more of your guys get injured and you scan the waiver wire and all you see is crap. And you glance at another guys roster and he's got a bench full of guys who could be your starter. I guess that creates a bit more of a parity like the league mimics today. Lets keep the league interesting for everyone as long as we can. Seems to be working great in today's NHL, why not here as well.

Leagues ive been in in the past have always been the dullest if you do not have position requirements.

I'm largely with Bushay as far as smaller rosters go, but I'd actually go even a little bit farther. If we're going to cut the forwards from 9 to 6, which I'm fine with (and I agree with him with keeping the positional requirements), then let's cut the D down more than from 5 to 4. I mean, if we have 10 managers and each manager is selecting 5 D total (one on the bench to rotate), that's 50. The defenceman that finished 50th in points last year was Dimitri Orlov, with 33. I get that points aren't the only fantasy category, but other than PIMs I hope we can agree that that's certainly the bulk of it. Those 33 points placed Orlov 228th overall in scoring, tied with legendary snipers like Devin Shore and J-G Pageau. My point is simply that these guys are dregs/replacement level; the sort of guys that get picked up and dropped weekly by teams hoping for a lucky night or a fight for some cheap PIMs. So if we have 6 forwards (broken down into positions), then I'd propose a MAX of 3 D spots, and fewer bench spots - maybe something like:

2C
2RW
2LW
3D
1Util
2G
3 Bench
1 IR

Put a real premium on good drafting and limit waiver transactions per week, or better yet waiver transactions per season. Maybe we would get more trades that way? Maybe not? I don't know. I just abhor the waiver wire dance (and don't get me wrong, I've played it myself out of necessity) that teams get into at certain points praying for a few extra token points, PIMs or +/-.

I'm open to anything and may be way off base, but those are my 2c anyway. Thoughts?

I like this setup, I'm not a huge fan of the F/D combo, I was just offering suggestions

So far we got...

Adam
Artie
Chris
Heatwave
Feddz
Bushay
VegasVic
Sherwood
Dave (Green Bastards)
Diesel00

That makes 10.

Also Diesel00 I will need your email address so I can send you and invite to the ESPN League.

I already renewed the old league from last year but I might start a new league if we only have 10 guys. I'm not sure who's who from the old league and who's not returning from last year

I like Adam suggestion about forwards versus positional....ESPN was pretty good last year at adjusting players at positions, but for the draft it sucks - you have a guy who plays LW or is slated to play LW, and is only available as a RW until someone at ESPN puts him where he is supposed to be 5 games into the season.

But, I am open to what everyone believes or likes, it isn't that big of a deal.

My buddy, Putting on the Foil from last year, will not be back.

I’m okay with the lineup except if we limit waiver moves, like Feddz mentioned, we should have 2 IR spots. how many waiver moves per week are we suggesting?

In the past we have done 7 pickups per week. I also agree we should have 2 IR spots
