If you were like and on the Cubs in last nights game, well you are probably a little confused as to who has the edge in this 3rd game of the 4-game set.
There is something to be said about advantages, and there is something to be said about luck...right now, the Cardinals seem to have luck on there side coupled with big hitting.
*I am reluctant to bet Chicago, but here is where their advantages sit in this particular contest.
Cubs still have a pretty "fresh" list of available pitchers in their bullpen for tonight. The question for St. Louis is who can they turn to, is it Juan Nicasio if they find themselves in a position for a win tonight. I am not so sure as Nicasio may need to rest...no one really knows (I would imagine).
Will the Cubs falter again when they are in position for another big inning? Can they complete a comeback if they find themselves down in this contest? Will they go up early and St. Louis be the team who is playing from behind. All of these questions are very unclear.
What is clear to me is that St. Louis is for facing the uphill battle. Tonight's game means everything for 2017 season (up until this point). They have guys who are hitting.
Throw out all the science and sit back and watch a heck of a ballgame.
I am doing 180, and going with the Cardinals in tonight's game.
