So, to recap: rips a woman mayor who publicly begs for help; says that Puerto Ricans(whom, reportedly, almost 1/2 of the people in the US don't realize are Americans) want the government to do everything for them; and now, after widespread condemnation of the government's response and effectiveness to the disaster, we get "ingrates.' I ddn't notice any threads about the situation on Puerto Rico at this writing, so, maybe even the Right Wing Whack Jobs are embarrassed this time?

77 mayors in Puerto Rico.

Most have praised trumps response.

As has the governor.

Only one has made these claims of a poor response. This is also the only mayor in Puerto Rico that refuses to attend the FEMA meetings to coordinate emergency efforts. Every other province has attended either in person or via sat phone except this one.

Trump has congratulated Puerto Rican Governor Ricardo Rossello (above) for his response to the disaster.

Rossello has been complimentary in his assessment of the Washington's contribution to the recovery effort

The director of FEMA has appeared on news networks clearly furious with the false narrative that she and the biased media are peddling.

But the anti-Trump lobby ignore reality in favour of pushing their narrative.

The woman is an ignorant imbecile for making this all about her... she should be working with everyone if she really cares about her sinking PR...... all pettiness aside.

Lady! You are letting your people down.

Stop grandstanding and do your job.

Arguing with the POTUS does nothing for your desperate people and makes you look stupid.

"Most" of the mayors have praised him(Btw, 77 mayors in a hundred by 35 mile island? Not sure I believe THAT, either) Really? You love to post news stories, why don't you provide your source for that comment?

[h=2]Mayors 2017–2021[edit][/h]There are currently 45 mayors affiliated with the Popular Democratic Party (PPD), while the remaining 33 are affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP). The longest tenured current mayor in the island is the mayor of Dorado, Carlos López Rivera. López has been serving as mayor since being elected in 1987. The current term ends in January 2021, following the 2020 general election.

[h=1]FEMA's Long: No time for mayor's 'spout off,' focused on Puerto Rico[/h]

FEMA Director Brock Long, leading the federal hurricane response in Puerto Rico, on Sunday slammed critics and the media for what he considers misinformation, saying “I don’t have time for that.”
“The problem is information is being misrepresented across the board,” Long told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. “I don’t have time for that. What he have time for is being laser focused on helping the people of Puerto Rico. … You should come down here. You should see what’s up.”
Long acknowledged the difficulties, saying, “Every day we have progress. Every day we have setbacks. … Do we have a long way to go? Absolutely.”
However, he argued the response on the island of Puerto Rico is “the most logistically challenging event that the United States has ever seen.”
He also argued the financially-strapped country’s infrastructure -- including airports, roads, ports and bridges -- was “fragile” before being hit by hurricanes Irma, then Maria.
However, roughly two weeks later, 11 major highways have been reopened, 700 of roughly 1,000 gas stations now have petroleum, 300 pharmacies are now operating and 16 people so far have died, compared to about 1,800 deaths during and after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 in New Orleans, Long said.
“I think we have to filter out the noise,” he said from FEMA headquarters. “My guys here have been busting their rears for nearly 40 days to help Americans.”

That island was a welfare shthole before the hurricane. God forbid the local Government, or residents for that matter take any Hurricane preparedness in the form of massive food and water storage facilities considering the Islands location in hurricane alley. Just a bunch of left wing libbys sitting around with that stupid helpless desperate look on their faces waiting for conservatives and their money to bail them out as usual. Watch out Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens.
