This is long overdue but I find it hard to come on here much anymore since work upgraded their firewall and the RX is now blocked. Some real shitty football on, and bored so decided to finally post.

BAS - This is the one I reached out to you previously on. If you need anything from me for further verification, DM me. Posting his name and location in case he's posting under a different screenname as well or at a different site.

Poster bigsmooth aka Doug Barker of Texarkansas, AR, owes me $3500.00 since May 30th.

He contacted me via the RX after I posted issues with my online book and my local bailing on me and offered to book action. Couple references seemingly checked out and I started working with him February-ish. Everything was fine over the first couple months. We both exchanged payments a couple times. I was up ~$1850 with him for the week in mid-May and I believe there was no word from him on settle day. Couple days later he contacted me and said he was in the hospital and just needed a couple days. I didn't think much of it. We both had something come up previously and payments were still made.

I got up another $2500 the following week and more delays from him. I got in contact with another of his 'clients' and he was having the same problem but he had received a different excuse from Doug. So I knew something was up then. Evidently, Doug had a history of slowpaying people and just hoping they continued to bet and would lose their winnings. I did give some back but stopped end of May...up $3500.

I've since been in contact with him and he's full of promises but no delivery. I told him to just start sending $500 a week and he would just promise payment in full. Last contact from him was 9/20 when he last told me payment was in the mail. He's ignored my last two messages.

If you owe him money...no need to pay. He's all talk on paying his debts.

I have the contact information for several of his families members. I've threatened to contact them but haven't yet, because that seems extra sleazy, but going to have to got that direction soon it appears. Parents, brothers, either his sister or his ex-wife (not sure) and I believe current live-in girlfriend. Harassment of family members it should be unnecessary but we're looking at over 4 months now.

And let me add...this is nothing to do with the RX, this was all personal risk I took and I understand that. This is why the RX always posts their PSA's about careful who you deal with on the Internet.

Yes warned you and another Poster about him like you said back in May.
Some came to say he was alright and he will pay, but when a Guy stops posting, it's always a Red Flag.

Not that it would happen, but it would be Great for anyone that Owes Him, instead pays the people that are owed....
I know that's a stretch ... but it would be a Great idea.

Even if someone owed Him $1000, maybe just pay $500 to a guy that's owed, and call it a day.

Have a feeling there are more than a couple that are owed

Thats an awful idea having people pay people that are owed instead of the bookie.

Tjey all got freerolled.

Hard to trust people these days.
Literally anyone can start taking bets these days .

They need to come up with a way to verify people before allowing them to use these PPH sites .

Sorry chuggs.

This happened to me several times.

Hook him up BAS .
Chuggs is good people .
I know that first hand

not saying this should be the norm. Just in this case because there has been more than One complaint with this guy.

When one of the first complaints came in he was still taking wagers... I Believe he's still taking wagers.
So why can't the people that owe him pay off what is owed to others ??

The guy is probably still taking action and pocketing the money instead of paying off the others

We haven't banned him because we were hoping he would do right. We left the line of communication open
But guess he doesn't want to make it right.

If the guy has or had a Legit reason, then he should have told one story

I hate when a "book" freerolls. I don't know the right answers but if you are down at a book and they start stiffing does that relieve you of your debt? Do you pay others that were up and not paid?

(Who's to say someone was up and was paid but claimed not to be? Or tries to collect the same debt multiple times with others that were down)

Chuggs. Sorry it went down like this. I for some reason thought you were paid. Chuggs is good people. That's why I let him win in fantasy last week

The problem is with you and him, not you and his family. Leave his family out of this.

I know you're owed the money but in the end will it change your life? The answer is no. Just try contacting him every few days and pick a drop dead date and write it off as a loss. Call it experience.

No, not life changing money at all...but still pretty damn annoying. And I agree with the family part and that's why I haven't yet, but it's the only real leverage I have. As far as writing off...it stopped being money I was expecting three months ago, but it will never be 'written off. I'm not driving from Michigan to Arkansas today or tomorrow or next month for $3500...but me and him are the same age, still relatively young, we have many years left to cross paths somewhere along the line.

He's reached out to me to try and book bets before as well, I assume because the close proximity just going off my screen name. I turned him down because I had two options that were paying like clock work at the time and no need for another that pursued me online.

I hope you get paid!

I heard a few months ago that he had some bad stuff happen to him (just more excuses no doubt) and he recently is back on his feet trying to get back to it.

If he really wanted to get back in it he should make right on people like chuggs that were left in the dark.

FWIW, i believe he had a partner on this forum back in the day (they split up shop when BS started getting iffy). Did you try contacting him to see if he can help in any way?
