ISIS Sympathizers Planned "the Next 9/11" with Attacks on Concerts, Subways and Times Square - Jonathan Dienst (NBC News)
Three men living outside the U.S. planned to attack concerts, Times Square, and crowded subways in 2016 in an ISIS-inspired attack that one said he hoped would be "the next 9/11," the FBI announced Friday.
Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy, 19, a Canadian citizen; Talha Haroon, 19, a U.S. citizen based in Pakistan; and Russell Salic, 37, an orthopedic surgeon in the Philippines used chat apps to talk about bringing a car bomb into the Crossroads of the World, gunning down subway riders before detonating vests, and opening fire on concertgoers in the vein of the Paris terror attacks of 2015.
FBI officials said Al Bahnasawy traveled to Cranford, N.J., in May 2016 and had designs on carrying out the attacks.
Prosecutors said that El Bahnasawy bought bomb-making materials while in Canada, while Haroon allegedly met with an explosives expert in Pakistan to get more information on how to build bombs.

ISIS Calls on Women to Launch Terror Attacks - Lizzie Dearden (Independent-UK)
I
SIS, in a new edition of its Arabic newspaper, told female supporters it was an "obligation" for them to take up arms to wage jihad.
"Today, in the context of the war against the Islamic State, it has become necessary for female Muslims to fulfil their duties on all fronts...in this battle" and should "prepare themselves to defend their religion by sacrificing themselves for Allah," citing female companions of the Prophet Muhammed as examples.
ISIS has previously prohibited women from fighting on the battlefield, but increasing reports started to emerge of female suicide bombers and snipers in Mosul.
In July, an article from a female ISIS member in its Rumiyah magazine said the time had come for women to "rise with courage and sacrifice in this war...not because of the small number of men, but, rather, due to their love for jihad."

I wish western civilization would unite and destroy these low life scumbag bitches

They're lucky they live in the era of political correctness and a snow flake agenda enabled by our lying naive media. Because if this were to happen sometime before 1950, we'd fight to win and they'd be annihilated

Yet the Democrats want open borders and call Trump a racist, xenophobe, etc for travel ban and tightening out borders....which by the way IS one of the powers assigned to our government by the Constitution.

This situation is way more dangerous than the era of 9/11. Not only do we have the threats of large-scale attacks by organized terror groups and governments, we also have multiple mini groups of 3-12 young batshit crazy nuts who are radicalized online or wherever, that band together and plot to mass murder innocents. Cyber attacks are a bigger threat than ever, as well as governments passing along nuclear technology to other governments or terrorist proxies. It's also worrisome how many of Trump's team have left or been replaced. It's important that doesn't spread to his military advisors. "Next man up" might work for Alabama. But it's probably not as effective for the joint chiefs.

Israeli Intelligence Alerted U.S. to Russian Hackers - Ellen Nakashima
In 2015, Israeli spies found hacking tools on the computers of the Moscow-based Kaspersky Lab cybersecurity firm that could only have come from the U.S. National Security Agency. Israel notified the NSA, where alarmed officials immediately began a hunt for the breach. Last month, the Department of Homeland Security instructed federal civilian agencies to identify Kaspersky Lab software on their networks and remove it. (Washington Post)

U.S. Officials Warn of Potential Hizbullah Threat to U.S. Homeland - Jeff Seldin
Nicholas Rasmussen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), said Tuesday that while there were no imminent threats, Hizbullah was actively trying to target the U.S. "We in the intelligence community do in fact see continued activity on behalf of Hizbullah here inside the homeland. Hizbullah is determined to give itself a potential [U.S.] homeland option as a critical component of its terrorism playbook."
While some countries view Hizbullah both as a terror group and as a political party, State Department Counterterrorism Coordinator Nathan Sales said Tuesday, "Make no mistake, Hizbullah has no political wing. It is a single organization, a terrorist organization, and it is rotten to its core."
The State Department announced on Tuesday a $7 million reward for information about Talal Hamiyah, who runs Hizbullah's External Security Organization, and $5 million for information about Fu'ad Shukr, a senior operative who helped plan the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon

The Iranian Regime Has Built and Bankrolled Hizbullah - Amb. Nathan A. Sales
U.S. Coordinator for Counterterrorism Nathan A. Sales said Tuesday: "Hizbullah hasn't developed its military and terrorist capabilities on its own. It has become the global threat it is today for one reason: Tehran's deep and abiding assistance. The Iranian regime has built and bankrolled Hizbullah to foment instability throughout the region and across the world. This has all come at the expense of the Iranian people, whose resources are being diverted to support Hizbullah's bloody cause." (U.S. State Department)

Israel Says Hizbullah Runs Lebanese Army - Dan Williams
Israel said on Tuesday that Hizbullah had gained control over Lebanon's U.S.-sponsored military, signaling both would be in Israeli gunsights in any future war. Outlining potential threats in Lebanon, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said, "We are talking about Hizbullah and the Lebanese army, and to my regret this is the reality. The Lebanese army has turned into an integral part of Hizbullah's command structure. The Lebanese army has lost its independence and become an inseparable part of the Hizbullah apparatus."
Lieberman said on Israel's northern front, "In anything that transpires, it will be one theater, Syria and Lebanon together, Hizbullah, the Assad regime and all of the Assad regime's collaborators."

Europe Expects More Terror Attacks, Even as IS Falters - Jamie Dettmer (VOA News)
With the collapse of Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, French and Belgian officials don't believe attacks will stop in Europe, at least not in the foreseeable future.
One of the only ways for the terror group to remain relevant and to continue to outshine its jihadist competitor al-Qaeda is to strike the West as frequently as it can, experts say.
Even with the loss of most of its territory IS can still wage information warfare, recruit and incite, said researcher Charlie Winter in a paper for the International Center for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence at King's College London.
The overall problem of radicalization remains the same today as it did before IS' battlefield defeats, officials warn.

War is inevitable in the ME. Iran has infiltrated the Lebanese army and Hizballah proxies have more artillery aimed at Israel than before the previous war. Iran has permanent bases in Syria. And now:

Islamic State in Syria Sets Up Training Camp near Israel Border (Times of Israel)
Several senior Islamic State commanders who recently fled from Iraq and northern Syria are now based in southern Syria, just across the Golan Heights border with Israel, and are training hundreds of new recruits there, Israel's Channel 2 reported.
The commanders have made their way to an Islamic State-controlled enclave "close to the border" with Israel and have set up a training camp for 300 local youths. The report showed footage of the camp and training sessions.

Report: Hizbullah Militants Entered Germany among Refugees - Benjamin Weinthal (Jerusalem Post)
"Since mid-2015 there are increased indications of fighters from Shi'ite militias entering Germany as legal refugees," according to a German intelligence report released this month.
"The indications regarding roughly 50% [of the fighters] show a direct connection to Hizbullah."
The report, which focused on the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, said the Imam-Mahdi Center in Munster is a meeting place for Hizbullah members. Additional cities where Hizbullah is active are Essen, Bottrop, Dortmund and Bad Oeynhausen.
The document noted that Hizbullah's goal is the "destruction of the State of Israel as well as Islamic domination over Jerusalem."

UNIFIL Has Become a Fig Leaf for Hizbullah's Military Deployment in Southern Lebanon - Lt.-Col. (res.) Sarit Zehavi and Christina Hen (Jerusalem Post)
According to Israeli assessments, 40,000 to 50,000 rockets targeting Israel are hidden inside or under the Shi'ite villages in southern Lebanon by Hizbullah in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
This 2006 resolution called for the establishment of an "area free of any armed personnel, assets, and weapons other than those of the Government of Lebanon and UNIFIL" in southern Lebanon.

  • The United States Withdraws from UNESCO
State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert said Thursday: "The Department of State notified UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova of the U.S. decision to withdraw from the organization....This decision was not taken lightly, and reflects U.S. concerns with mounting arrears at UNESCO, the need for fundamental reform in the organization, and continuing anti-Israel bias at UNESCO....U.S. withdrawal will take effect on December 31, 2018." (U.S. State Department)

  • Amb. Haley: UNESCO's Extreme Politicization Has Become a Chronic Embarrassment
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said Thursday: "In July, when UNESCO made its latest outrageous and politically-based decision, designating the Old City of Hebron and the Tomb of the Patriarchs as part of Palestinian territory, the United States clearly stated that this decision would negatively affect our evaluation of our level of engagement with the organization."
"The purpose of UNESCO is a good one. Unfortunately, its extreme politicization has become a chronic embarrassment....Just as we said in 1984 when President Reagan withdrew from UNESCO, U.S. taxpayers should no longer be on the hook to pay for policies that are hostile to our values and make a mockery of justice and common sense." (U.S. Mission to the UN)
Israel to Prepare for UNESCO Withdrawal alongside U.S.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Thursday: "The prime minister instructed the Foreign Ministry to prepare Israel's withdrawal from [UNESCO] alongside the United States." Netanyahu said he "welcomes the decision by President Trump to withdraw from UNESCO. This is a courageous and moral decision because UNESCO has become the theater of the absurd and because, instead of preserving history, it distorts it." (Times of Israel)

UK Intelligence Chief Warns of "Intense" Terror Threat - Gordon Corera (BBC News)
The UK's intelligence services are facing an "intense" challenge from terrorism, the head of MI5 has warned.
Andrew Parker said there was currently "more terrorist activity coming at us, more quickly" and that it can also be "harder to detect."
The UK has suffered five terror attacks this year, and MI5 was following 3,000 individuals involved in extremist activity.
Parker said the tempo of counter-terrorism operations was the highest he had seen in his 34-year career at MI5.
Twenty attacks had been foiled in the last four years, including seven in the last seven months, he said - all related to Islamist extremism.
